Doctor Who: Bad Wolf

OMG OMG OMG OMG *flail*

I just saw Bad Wolf and am hyperventilating.

I can't wait until next Friday.

I am also madly in love with Nine.

When he starts agitating to get out of the show, even though there is a chance he will be fried, he is so Crichtonish. He really is all inspired insanity. And I think he really is so fucked up, there is a large part of him that doesn't care about dying. And I love that he is so worried, anxious for Rose. And I love that she sees him come for her and that she gets disintegrated in front of his eyes and OMG the look on his face, the stillness. And the way he touches her dust with his fingers! And the end where it's the Dalek fleet OMFG and he sees Rose alive and there is this relief and uncontrollable loathing for Daleks and bitterness and happiness and it all overlaid with a lot of crazy. And Daleks tell him not to interfere in their invasion plans because they got Rose and he says "No." And he tells Rose he is going to come for her and rescue her (in the middle of the Dalek fleet!) and then he will rescue Earth and then to destroy all Daleks, and when they reply to him he has no weapons and no plan, he grins ear to ear this scary insane smile and rejoins "doesn't it scare you to death?" Crichton and Nine would really get along.

I do think for Nine Rose is his connection to sanity. And he looks good in mugshots.

And I like Lynda with a 'y' who does take a chance. And Captain Jack is perfect, with his hidden gun and his nonchalant amusement and his coolness.

Must see more now!

Upon seeing Captain Jack shirtless, my first thought was, "Hm, he must be a Brit doing an American accent, because if he were actually an American actor he'd be way more built." I blame Jason Dohring's abs.

Ahem. Nine, yes, is awesome. I love his crazy and his rage and his repression and I am skeptical about Ten, although I hear Ten is easy to love.

I still cannot take the Daleks seriously as enemies. They're just so... adorable, yet inefficient, sixties robot in appearance.

Yeah, I love Nine. I wonder how I'd feel about Ten, since this was my first Dr Who ever, so I am not a general Who fan. I hope I do like him.

Plungers! I forgot the plungers, somehow. Randomly I rewatched an episode of Coupling yesterday and there was a giant dalek and he was talking to it as if it were his ex-girlfriend and having it fake attack him with its plunger. Whee! The first time I saw that I'd never seen Doctor Who, but now... pure hilarity.

I really liked The Empty Child, the Dr Dances and the season finale the most although Bad Wolf had a fabulous creepiness about it.

Captain Jack is so awesome. In terms of looks, he really reminds me of Sheriff Lamb, who I also love but is much more of a jackass. I loved Jack's face when he realized what a face-off was. He's all "Damn, but I wanted more clothes".

I love Nine's smile. It's one of the most awesome things about him.

Don't get SciFi, which is why I'm impatiently waiting for the set to show up on Netflix (buying them is just too expensive). Ten seems to be much loved though, to put your mind at ease for next season.
