I loved it.

Thoughts on the newest VM episode are

Logan's expression when he was watching that True Hollywood story thing just broke my heart. It's amazing how he can look so vulnerable. Especially when they showed his mother. Dick isn't much of a friend (or at least has rhino skin) to want to keep watching even with Logan's request to change the chanel and not even considering that anything could trouble Logan about that program. Dick is really from another planet.

I get giddy every time I see Harry Hamlin. I just love watching Aaron Echolls. And not just because while he is an abusive, murderous SOB, he blames Duncan. At least someone doesn't think Donut is perfect. And the Kendall and Aaron scene (two sleazebags meet each other) is priceless. Especially when Kendall starts to strip "I can talk you through this." What does Aaron want Kendall to do/get in Logan's room, though?

This said, this tape business is silly. There should have been a chain of custody and verification and everything.

Logan and Hannah are kinda sweet together, but he is being a huge bastard and using her (that thing with the fake email that Hannah has condoms is low if effective). Ironically, he is screwing up with the one person who does think he is nice and believes in him (as the spitting incident shows, he is not Mr. Popular in town. Of course it also shows why he feels desperate enough to try the Hannah trick, as well). And as hs expression when he overheard Hannah defending him to her Mom shows, he is not insensible of how wrong he is being. He is going to feel horrible about using her by the time this thing is over, deservedly so. I can't wait till the fall out. When Hannah's mom says Logan is "ugly on the inside," she has a point, but the interesting thing to me is that Logan most likely agrees with her and hates himself for it. He even tells Hannah that maybe her father is right. Of course, what chance did he have to become a healthy and upright individual in his circumstances? But did they have sex? Please say they didn't. (Also, Hannah, I know you are giddy about the boy, but wait a bit before jumping in the sack, please. You do not want your first time to be with the guy who is using you). Ohhh, and boy, he is back into the Self-loathingville at the end, even if he got what he was aiming for. The look on his face when the surgeon gave in? Ouch. And I do love that he came to talk to V about it (he doesn't have anyone else to talk to, but I still love that he picks her). "I've done something horrible." I think I just melted. And talk about anvilliciouus. Jane (who is now Wallace's gf, yay) is told by Veronica "if my true love shows up, I'll be by the esspresso machine' and bang, Logan is there.

I am still on the fence as to whether V is jealous or just annoyed that Logan is using Hannah. I think it's a mix but I am not sure. I do like that Logan is amiably ignoring Veronica now (which probably bothers her most of all) as he's got more important things to think about (like jail) and it's not as if she is helping. And of course, Veronica has no room to be self-righteous as she's done things plenty of bad things to get information with much less cause.

And the whole scene with Logan and Cliff shows just why Logan is so desperate. I can see why he doesn't want to go to jail. But shouldn't Logan be able to afford hiring a proper PI to dig dirt on the plastic surgeon? It shouldn't be too hard. And gang members aren't the most reliable witnesses. So I don't think his situation is as bad as the show makes it seem.

Kendall and Cassidy's scene is comedy gold. "What did I tell you about thinking?" "It makes my breasts smaller." I wonder what Cassidy's plan is: his smirk after Kendall said everything is in her name indicates he has one (though what kind of an idiot investor invests when he thinks Cassidy's scamming father is involved).

Terrence Cook tried to break into his ex's place? Whyyyyyy?

And I like seeing Vinnie. And I loved the Runaway Bride and the MOTW.

Yep. I agree with your whole post, particularly your points about Logan. This episode showed him off in his many facets-angsty and sympathetic woobie (sorry, the word is overused to describe him, but it really does fit him perfectly) in one scene to sweet, albeit schmoopy, boyfriend, and then cold-hearted bastard in the next. What a fascinating character he remains. I hate what Logan is doing but I feel sympathetic too. It's hard for me to blame him for wanting to stay out of prison if he's innocent, no matter what the cost, but damn I hope they didn't have sex. I have a feeling they did.

And that was my Veronica. Snarky, funny, but helpful and clever. She just seemed more like herself tonight.

Best episode in a good while. I didn't recognize the writer's name either, so I think this might be a first.

I agree. Best ep since ep 7 or 8.

And yes, I can understand Logan's desire to stay out of prison by any means necessary but I realy really hope he didn't have sex with Hannah because it would be incredibly hard for me to like him after that. I think I'd just wash my hands of him after that.

I understand re:Logan and Hannah, but I think I'd forgive him anyway. I'm an unrepentant apologista apparently. If I made it through salt licks and bumfights, I can handle anything.

I hope he didn't sleep with her, but I'm just scared RT is going in that direction.

For some reason, salt licks and bumfights bother me less. I guess they aren't as irreversible. I guess if Hannah was a lot more worldly, I'd have less of a problem with it, but as it is...

I get the impression, though I don't really have anything concrete to base it on, that Hannah hasn't had sex before, so Logan is really screwing with her, and with her parents. And I agree that he knows it, and knows that he's being exactly what everyone warns Hannah he is, and that it means something to him that she believes in him, but I'm not sure what he'll do about that. The idea of him going to Veronica with this problem is interesting.

I think Cassidy is definitely setting Kendall up to take the fall if/when things go south for the real estate trust.

I think so too, but I cannot figure out how. If his project goes bust, Kendall is screwed but he loses all his money as well. Hmmm

And as to Logan, I do agree that he is really really messing with her. I find this the worst thing he's done so far, actually.

I don't really get what Cassidy's angle is either--I think we'd have to know more about how he's trying to make money off the trust. It could be something as simple as wanting Kendall to be the one with the name on the papers if things go wrong. But I think it's more likely that he's doing something extremely sketchy and has a way to pull earnings out before the bottom drops out, and Kendall will be left holding the bag at that point. It's almost enough to make me feel bad for Kendall. Almost.

He seemed to enjoy watching Logan squirm, which was sort of funny.

What does Aaron want Kendall to do/get in Logan's room, though?
It was Duncan's shower. It looked like she grabbed some hair out of the drain, presumably for the DNA. I guess Aaron is trying to frame him somehow.

But did they have sex? Please say they didn't.
I hope not, but it would be more noir if they did.

Jane (who is now Wallace's gf, yay) is told by Veronica "if my true love shows up, I'll be by the esspresso machine' and bang, Logan is there.
I loved that. I was like "Well, I guess that's Logan's cue" and then he showed up. :)
