Another brilliant ep.
The beginning? With Veronica more interested in the movie than the necking? And Logan interrupting and sitting right next to Veronica on the big, big couch. Logan joking about spending more time together and Duncan kissing the joke as usual. And telling them about signals for the future? Heeee. And Veronica keeps being hyper aware of Logan throughout the scene, IMO. And she is totally jealous of L/K and Duncan telling her that it's totally fine because Kendall is "hot." Heeee.
Why is Woody so interested in getting Keith on his side? His incorporation plan also sounds really fishy and is certain to ratchet up tensions.
The bathroom scene with L & V? Squuuueeeeee! I think Logan is not trying to be snarky about "legs around waist" comment, he is just trying to bidge the awkward hurt of having to ask V for help (and I guess he tries to do it by reminding that he used to mean something to her, too). Of course, sexual references put her on the defensive. But she is pretty gentle even in snark and when she sees he is really upset (and she probably wouldn't have held out much anyway) she does agree to help (with her "old times sake" comment, as in "she needs more info that that to go on." Hee. Pragmatist) and her tone of voice is quite different by the end of that conversation. I love that L & V's place is the out of order girl's bathroom. I also loved their convo during babysitting. They are rather comfy with each other again and I am glad that Logan was quick to pick up it's not the same guy that is coming forward now as earlier. I wonder if we'll get more flashbacks.
Gia is such a hilarious ditz. And I've never seen Duncan so worked up about anything, ever, as he is about the abused kid. Plus, he and Meg used to make out during babysitting? Whoa.
I am really interested in what is going on with the plastic surgeon: what's going on? Why did he refuse to perform the surgery? Maybe because he knows who V is. Also, I wonder what a drug connection (re: cigar store) has to do with it. Is he picking up drugs? Is that his payoff?
Logan/Kendall "break-up" scene was great, as she tried to look for a sugar daddy, and failed miserably. She can't play him, he's been played by masters (aka parents) and being manipulated is his specific button. She'd have better luck if she asked him for $$$ straight. The only time we see him being taken in when he is emotionally involved (with Veronica at the end of S1) and he and Kendall are just fuckbuddies. I love the snark. Logan's milk line and Kendall's "That's my job."
Duncan/Kendall? Heeeee. The scary thing is, I have NO idea if D/K thing happened. I tend to think it did (as Duncan is never forthcoming but he wouldn't have completely brushed it off with Logan and V but would mention something, even if it's "Logan, your SO is insane). I did find it amusing that Logan brought Kendall being in D's room in front of V. He so could have done it some other time, but I think he can't help but try to put spokes into VD's wheel (even if it's unconscious).
We see more of the Casablancas family and Mom is a self-absorbed bitch. Big shock. Poor Beaver, he clearly loves her. Dick's maid outfit for Kendall made me ROFL. Trust Dick to not mind trying to bang his father's trophy wife.
I loved Veronica mocking Duncan's turtleneck.
Gia/Madison almost catfight over Dick? Heeeeee.
That thing with the little girl, and the child in question being a Manning sister? I thought something like that, but that whole "keep Grace in closet" is sick. I never like Duncan as much as when he is trying to help and get her out. He is not incable of caring. He is nice and Logan isn't. But nice doesn't equal good. Logan is always upfront. Duncan? Not at all. I would trust Logan to back me up if he said he would (even if he hated me). Duncan? No way. Even if I was the most important person to him, I'd still have to check every 5 minutes.
Oh. My. God. One sentence and two minutes and Lamb has layers! This show never ceases to amaze me. He let Veronica nd Duncan go, and it's clear he had a Mr. Manning in his past. I love his parking the car across the street from the Mannings.
Preview for next week: Logan and Veronica centric? Heeeee. L/V vibes all over. Plus, Logan threatened by mask people and Veronica's undercover blown.

Yep. Give me the passionate asshole over the cipher anyday. I truly don't know how Duncan feels about anyone in his life, except for Meg. And I can't even define that, but she's the only one he seems passionate about, which is probably why I found him to be more interesting tonight.
I loved the Lamb scene too. I liked it because they gave Lamb layers, but there was no real softening. He was the same old hardass that he always is.
Woody is very creepy. And Guttenberg looks terrible.

Date: 2005-11-17 04:23 pm (UTC)And even there, is he only after her because she is unavailable, the way he was after V during the summer?
Yes, and I like that Lamb is still a bastard. But a bastard with depth.

Date: 2005-11-17 03:49 pm (UTC)I think Logan's going to take care of Veronica, when push comes to shove, and I think he really doesn't want to see her heart get broken. Once last season's angst was over, I'm soooo OTP V/L - as long as they don't pile on too much hurt to poor Logan!

Date: 2005-11-17 04:23 pm (UTC)Okay, not ALL of the beauty of Logan. There's still the snark. And the general Hotness. But all of that would not be as good without...that heart. (sigh)
BTW, I've seen some Bollywood type icons on basic bases recently...fyi in case you're interested.

Date: 2005-11-17 04:24 pm (UTC)Ooooh, where?
Who would have thought that crazy Aaron Echolls would produce a white knight?
I think Logan's behavior is in a way reaction against Aaron. Both because he wants to be nothing like him, and because he wants to protect women in his life the way he wanted to protect his Mom. *sigh*

Logan:
Yup. But it takes a certain nobility of character to be able to transcend and still care no matter how much it hurts. A lot of people couldn't do that.
Sorry, is the squeeing a little too loud? LOL
