EEEEEEEEEEEE!
Feb. 20th, 2007 11:31 amJohn Abraham, you seem to have been bitten by Saif Ali Khan's 'infallible script picking' bug (aka, all the movies you've been picking lately sound amazing, and I'd want to see them regardless of who's in them).
What brought on that exclamation?
I just read that Deepa Mehta is making a movie called Exclusion, with John and Amitabh (!!!!) about (and I quote from the article) the true-life tale of a ship that took a group of Indians to the shores of Canada in the early part of the 19th century. But they were not allowed to enter the country. It is described as one of the most notorious "incidents" in the history of exclusion laws in Canada and the United States designed to keep out immigrants of Asian origin.
I guess she really liked working with John in Water.
Yay! I will see John and Amitabh on my neighborhood arthouse screen. In a period movie. YAY!
You know what's funny? I remember discussions on the bollywood board a few years back of who'd be the first Bollywood male actor to get any face traction in the West (if any). There was a bunch of potential candidates named, but I don't think anyone ever thought it would be Amitabh (what with this and Shantaram with Johnny Depp) and John (first Water, now this).
