Love in a Cold Climate: "Lucky"

Let's meet today's contestant in "BW movie Dangermousie is looking forward to" sweepstakes. It's called "Lucky. No time for love." The name begins to make a bit more sense when one finds out that Lucky is the name of the heroine (short for Laxmi, I assume). She has no time for love because she is on the run from an unrest in an unnamed Eastern European country *coughRussiacough*. This being Bollywood, however, she does find plenty of time for the soft emotion. With hopefully, lots of angst.

Plot: Adithya (Salman Khan) plays the son of the Indian Ambassador in Bollyrussia. There, he meets a pretty 17-year-old girl called Lucky (Sneha Ullal), who is mesmerized by Adithya’s charisma. Or his bad fashions. However their relationship is not deemed acceptable due to the age difference. (For once, in a BW movie. Yay!) Civil War breaks out in that country and Lucky is faced with danger. Adithya vows to save the girl, which teaches one the importance of being appealing to men. Will Adithya succeed in saving Lucky? Will their relationship be accepted? I don't care either way, as long as there is lots of angst.

I'll grant you that there is a stupendous wardrobe in this movie, and am much thankful for it. But it's still not the same without Hrithik Roshan. . .
