dangermousieOK, I've metaed enough about Hana Yori Dango 2's premiere ep entirely too much, but too bad...because I got more to say.
How much do I love the scene where Akira tells Makino they got her bag back and she's got Mafia protection now and Makino is all 'I am not sure I should be thanking you' EEEE!
OMG! The way Domyouji looks at Makino throughout kills me. Especially when he calls her 'baka' on the baseball pitch and it's not even an insult but a tender tease but of course, he can't tell her anything and at that point, she is (understandably) so upset.
GUUUUUUH. Have I mentioned my hatred of Kaede? I really really hope they will have the scene of Makino slapping Kaede (I think I cheered self hoarse at that scene in the anime). But OMG, at that party at the end? Kaede stares at Makino but Makino stares back. I love that she never cowers. But hey, Makino is just as strong-willed as Kaede (OMG, love for Domyouji calling her an old hag. Normally I am all about politeness but not there). You know, Kaede is just terrifying really. Also, I think you are sort of a failure as a human being, when you come out and you hold your son's arm and he sort of tries to control stiffening and looks unbelievably uncomfortable. I have to say Domyouji looks quite unhappy at that party before he puts on the party face.
But to get back to Makino, I love that Junpei says that she is exactly the kind of girl Domyouji would go for. Makino is a dynamo: she is insulting the guys even tied up and then she frees herself and fights them. And doesn't collapse until she is safe. OMG. She is awesome.
I've decided that Makino Tsukushi as portrayed by Inoue Mao is my favorite dorama heroine. Ever. She is just so alive, so immediate, so unfiltered (her pleasure in that tuna sushi is contageous). I really get why Domyouji has fallen so much for her, why F3 like her (the scene where they offer to buy her a meal is hilarious and awesome). And OMG, she made him a birthday present. *dies*
My heart broke for her in that scene with Tsubaki, when she admits how much she likes Domyouji and I love that she knows it's silly and she says she thinks it's ridiculous and it makes her dislike herself. But OMG, she can't stop and I love that. Oh, my OTP!!!!! And she wipes her tears with her fists, like a child.
And I forgotten how much I loved that scene in S1 when she told him she loved him, until we saw it in flashback. Because he asks her if she's fallen for him, and makes it sound as if it's expected, but then she says "I've fallen for you" and you see him reel emotionally, as if he can't believe it, despite his put-on pose. I love it.
You know what my favorite non D/T scene might be in this ep? When F3 tells Domyouji about the red card and he clearly is dying to go to Makino but he won't and F3 ask him if there is a reason for his behavior and his face is almost naked with longing to tell them everything (whatever it is) but he says that there is no reason and he forces out that she has nothing to do with him any more (and I love that F3 don't necessarily buy it, but they know it's useless to push).
I am really curious as to what is up with his nightmare, btw.
