This seems to be a movie day. But none of my new anime arrived yet. Not that this has, either.
Recently bought on e-bay and am looking forward to watching Seven Swords, yet another martial arts drama from China.
If nothing else, it promises to be very pretty.
See proof.

See more proof.
One way to court a girl:

"I know I wanted minimalist decor, but this is absurd"

Awwww. And aaaaangst:

"No, I shall not hold your odd haircut against you"

Our love is SO color-coordinated:

"Kara Thrace has nothing on me. I smoke and am smudged and still keep long hair. Ha!"
"When I said I wanted a man with a giant sword, this is SO not what I meant:"

This still is so pretty, I have no snark:

"What do you mean, 'Are you Robin Hood?'"

"I might suffer, but I NEVER forget my moisturizer:"

"For the last time, nope, still not Robin Hood:"

Pretty. And angsty. Notice the theme?

My favorite still:

Cutely clueless. Or cluelessly cute:

Swoon from prettiness:

I don't even know who they are, but this is cool:

You gotta fight. For you right to paaaaarty:

We can't afford colors any more. All our money went on hair conditioner:

The Brotherhood of Bizarro Hats:

The People's Revolution is here:

Artistic Smudges are the way of the future:

Lord of the Rings escapees:

Swords but no hats. Not too bright:

"For the LAST time, not Robin Hood!"

"When I said I wanted to spice up our sex life, this is SO not what I meant"

Beautiful:

I love this shot:

Definitely Rings:

Changed my mind. THIS is definitely my favorite shot:

Waaaangst sucks the color from the Universe:

OK, we get it. Horses:

"I shall woo you with my sexy hat!"

So pretty!

Smoooooooke:

Freud would have a field day with this one:

Hot:

Taking color coordination to scary extremes:

Cheekbones on parade:

Still not Robin Hood:

Poster:

Bad Guy? Who else could he be, looking like this?

Even the blood is pretty:

Interpretive dance has taken root in the village:

Weapons fetishism:

Pretty!

Ringsian again:

More horses:

More posters:

Orcs!

Yuck!

To get rid of the nasty:

I think I feel I've seen the movie already.

Date: 2006-04-13 10:51 pm (UTC)In general I kind of liked the movie but I'm still not totally convinced by the result. It's a Tsui Hark movie, so I knew there would be a bit of blood and those things, and well that part, I didn't enjoy it too much... the rest, especially the cast was very good.
I still think the movie received cuts here and there (at least in the version showed here) so I'm sure it will make more sense if they release a more complete version in dvd.
I went to watch it because I like Leon Lai very much and he was teh pretty in the movie (Donnie Yen and the Korean actress too!).

Hope you like the movie!! ;)

Sorry. It looks like a movie I have to add to the Netflix list though.

Date: 2006-04-14 09:10 am (UTC)It was an all right movie, although some of the characters--mostly one of the female characters (the villager, not the swordswoman or the slave) made me scream in frustration. '_' The dual-wielding swordsman is prettiest, I feel. ~_~ And the Korean that Donnie Yen tries to speak made me laugh. A lot. Probably not in the way they intended.
(Is the shot of the two in the cornfield really part of it? It seems out of place, somehow, and I /really/ don't remember that at all.)

I've seen it as part of SS screenshots on more than one webcite, so I assume it is. Haven't seen the movie yet myself.

Hee. One of the few benefits of my no speaking Korean :)
