Saw Haven tonight. It was a uniformly uninspired movie which had no point whatsoever. It had so little point I can't even summarize it in any coherent fashion except to say it's all about a bunch of people living in Cayman Islands. I wish I had a ff button in the theater, but Orlando Bloom looked yummy. Since I went to see it for him (he's the only Hollywood actor I'd go see a movie for though there are a number of Bollywood and dorama actors to whom this applies) I have no complaints on that score.
But the screenwriter for this movie needs to go back to school. And please, take the editor with him.
But a hint to the whatever-her-name. When you have a half-naked Orlando Bloom in bed with you, asking 'are you nervous' as he prepares to make love to you, the proper response is to say 'hell no' and jump his bones. Not to discuss his plans for his future life and possible lack of direction. Also, Orlando is supposed to have acid thrown in his face by his gf's horrid brother and it's supposed to ruin his life, screw up his relationship, turn him into a recluse and he is all moany and whiny about it. Legitimate cause for griping on his part, I admit, except for the fact that the make-up department clearly thought 'OMG! No! It's Orlando Bloom, we can't ruin his face!' or else ran out of make-up, so what he got was the lightest almost-invisible faint scarring on a teeny tiny part of his face that still made him frelling attractive. So as the end result I just wanted to tell him to stop being such a diva as he still had a good chance at winning hottie of the year contest.
Also finished (finally, schedule has been nuts) the second episode of Sang-Doo, Let's Go to School and so much love (I had some posts about it back which has a summary, click on the tag). Love how SD tells the girl that he is never letting her go again and she asks him 'do you know I am with someone else now?' and he says yes. Mmmmm. Or the look on his face as he sees her try to slash a student's tires unsuccessfully (the student is her bratty younger brother and they are having a sibling fight) and he just glows amusedly, in a 'that's my girl' kinda way. He loves her all fierce (and then he takes apart the bike himself,:P). Also, scary levels of eyefucking and so far this is very funny and sweet but I am sure angst is going to hit as this is a Korean dorama, and also, hello? He is a gigolo with a ruined life and a sick daughter and she is with someone else and there is all that mess of their misperceptions of each other and their pasts and guuuuuhh...
