dangermousieI literally took almost a thousand photos in Japan. It's going to take me ages to upload them all. So I am going to do it in small regular batches.
Here are 30 or so random photos. Not so much on temples here (I am going to do a temple-centric batch later because I must have photographed every temple known to man, or at least it felt this way). Mostly people, neighborhoods and random foodstuff. But don't worry, a few historic buildings thrown in.

Traditional Japanese breakfast as served to us in the ryokan (bean looking stuff is the horrific natto, fermented soybeans with raw quail egg. I've tried it and definitely not my thing):
