A week or so ago I did a post about the Most Beautiful Woman in the World (YMMV), Aishwarya Rai.

Well, this one is about someone who I think comes pretty close, fellow Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, star of Waqt, Mujhe Shaadi Karoge, Karam, upcoming Don, Bluffmaster, Umrao Jaan, and Krissh.

I think she is beyond gorgeous and bring proof :) I prefer pictures of her in traditional outfits, so most of these are of that nature.

Wow, I love Priyanka, but you tracked down a lot of pictures I've never seend before.

I do think Aish is probably the one more traditionally beautiful (even faced and all that). But on-screen I just frequently find Priyanka more adorable.

Now I feel like doing Karam screen caps.

Priyanka is not as classically beautiful, I agree. But in some ways, she exudes a warmer vibe (Ash can come across as more fragile though).

Priyanka is adorable, you are right. Ash comes across as a bit more withdrawn, porcelain-like (which Bhansali uses really well in Devdas).

Yeah, the latest is that Priyanka is doing it.

I don't know of any Ash Bolly projects right now except for Dhoom 2 and Jodha-Akbar...

This Umrao Jaan merry go round is really confusing.

But I'm guessing Aish had to drop it with the Hollywood project she's been cast in. Since I'm guessing that the shooting for HW movie probably takes up a lot more time than shooting a BW movie.

As for as I remember Priyanka was Miss World and Lara was Miss Universe the same year. Just like Aish was Miss World and Sush was Miss Universe the same year.

I still maintain that Ash is the most photogenic, but Priyanka is VERY beautiful in real life. Like, I know she's pretty, but I was just AMAZED at how she looked at the Temptations Concert.

...of course, I've never actually seen Aishwarya in real life, so I can't pass judgement there.

I still say that Priyanka has a bad profile (as does John Abrahams in my mind).

While Aish photographs well from every angle.

I like the more recent Ash stuff a lot. I didn't like most of her earlier stuff. She has really grown as an actress.

I hate Aish whenever she does the typical dingbat heroine thing (like in HDDCS or hell, any of her earlier work). Probably because very few actresses (like Madhuri for example) can carry off the dingbat heroine for me; and Aish is just not one of them.

I *loved* HDDCS! I think it was my favourite role of hers that she ever did. Taal was kinda meh, and Devdas was awesome. Khakee was good but short, same with Mohabbatein. A lot of her more recent movies focus too much on her looks than her acting, which she is actually capable of. I liked Raincoat, because it wasn't like that.

I felt like strangling her in most of HDDCS because she was just so annoying and her character was such a dingbat. I hated the first half of Devdas and loved her in the second one. I did like Raincoat. I also really liked her in Dil Ka Rishta and in *yes* Shabd (even though the character was a dingbat there too, at least she was a mature dingbat and Aish did well).

How could you like her in DKR? I enjoy the movie, but she is waaaay more irrational, weepy, clingy and "dingbaty" than she is in any other movie I've seen...

I liked her acting? Plus really nice hair :D

Plus I think I just have a fondness for movies where the supposed romantic partners are all mean to each other (that's also why I have a soft spot for DNJAK; Just like DKR I would never actually consider it a good movie, but it ranks high on the guilty pleasure listing).

Do you know if she is still going to play opposite SRK in "Don"? I'm a bit out of the loop concerning bollywood but I have read sometime ago that she is doing the movie. She really is pretty but I hope she has some acting skills, as well (haven't seen her in a movie yet).
