AnC continues to be both twisted and good.

The Progenitor? Severely evil, severely creepy, and I would be all for his dying except that it would mean that Aki, sweet loyal Aki, must die too. This sucks. I have to say, the scene where Aya sees Aki and doesn't know he is the Progenitor and runs and hugs hum and he hugs her back and then he...kisses her? Whoa. Eeek. I do love how she jumps back and Toya shields her and then Yuki jumps in front. Aya is lucky in her allies. And talk about the Progenitor being monomaniacal. Ugh. Though I do have to say it takes exquisite cruelty to tell Toya that the memories he thought were real (about him living in that small town blah blah) were all manufactured by Mikage Cousin (and his memories of Aya wiped) so that he would become their ally once again, of his own free will, and to tell him he will never be able to remember Aya. Telling someone their whole identity is false and taunting them that they forgot what they knew and will never recover? Evil. No wonder Toya is kinda dazed afterwards and can't even fight that much. It also makes me wonder just why MC wants Toya on his side so badly. And it looked like the guy could project some kind of energy sphere. He is so not human. I do love that his feelings for Aya overcame his (new) memory loss. But of course, he loves her but he still can't remember her so this is FUBAR and he leaves her his dagger because it's a part of his knife and goes off to find his memories. Angst.

I love the symbolism of when the car hits, Toya's cross choker (that Aya gave him) gets torn. Since this is right before he loses his memories of her and gets implanted false ones, mmmm. I do think Toya's loss hit Aya so hard because it was on top of everything else. With him forgetting her, she's lost the last person she loved. I mean, the girl was on the verge of collapse when Aki was gone and turned into the Progenitor (her watching old videos of her brother and weeping is so...I confess. I cried).

Oh, and how much do I love Yuhi? Aya offers herself to him to forget Toya (comfort sex?) and he refuses because he wants to wait until she can forget him and love Yuhi. Yay.

On a cheerier note, I adored the sponge bath scene, when Aya walked into the room where Toya was staying and he is naked except for bandages and the choker she gave him (awwww) and she is "what are you doing" and he tells her he was taking a sponge bath but putting the bandages on is hard. I have to say, the boy is not used to someone taking care of him at all which is sad. But that is also makes him freakily self-sufficient, which is sexy. I love her offering to help and bein all mushy. They just came across as real couply there.

I do love their farewell by the fountain. So pretty. Did he give her a hickey though? ROFL. I love the way she tells him she loves him "probably more than you love me." She is not complaining (and it's not necessarily true, either), but is matter of fact and there is something very mature about her.

Oh, and I know Aki before he switched didn't trust MC. But shouldn't he have been even more suspicious? I guess he didn't see the guy's attempted rape of his sister.

And on a shallow note, I love when Toya and Aya hug because he is so much bigger than she is. Shallow kink!
