Yes, still Meteor Garden

dangermousieMmmmm, love the scene of DMS rushing to hot springs, because SC has fainted and look on his arranged fiancee's face as she sees his heedless, instinctive dash. And then he stops dead as he sees HZL who rescued her, come out carrying her (all 4 are on a weekend trip from hell). I also love when fiancee is 'DMS never takes initiative but he agrees when I suggest things" and SC remembers and contrasts how desperately he used to pursue and not give up on her, SC.
And then DMS and fiancee are in the bedroom fiancee got them together and she is naked and he doesn't care. And he tells her all he can think of SC and she is 'she doesn't care, she congratulated me, are you OK with it' and awwwwww, the look on DMS' face. *melts*
But he rejects her no matter what (I love that he doesn't stop loving or give in or what not because he thinks his love is hopeless) and basically fiancee pushes him to the ground and is on top of him because she is so upset and knows she won't ever get anywhere (it makes sense when you see it) and then SC comes into the room because she hears a noise and I guess she can't bear it any more and she sees fiancee on top of him, she is half-dressed, and assumes the worst and DMS just looks at her...guuuuh. The poor boy, he probably thinks "hopeless love" just got downgraded to "more likely to snow in hell." And then he tells the fiancee, quietly "hit me until you feel better" and she just cries and is all "I like you so much, why can't you like me" and her tears are dripping on his face and he just whispers "sorry" and pulls her to him gently and holds her.
And in the morning SC is sitting because she couldn't sleep and DMS comes out and have I mentioned he looks hot in black? He looks even hotter in black, angsty, and quiet. So much pain. (see SC's crying scene later). I love seeing HZL and SC as friends. When, after this night (when she thinks DMS and fiancee slept together), she asks can he lend her his back and cries into it as he just stands quietly? So much love. SC is so miserable, but hey, she did give him up so a bit of misery is just. I love the friends vibe between them. Lei really is a good friend.
And then fiancee visits SC and tells her that nothing happened between her and DMS, he rejected her even when she took all her clothes off and now she is going to ask her parents to cancel the marriage contract. And before she leaves, she says "one last thing. DMS refused me because he told me the only person in his heart is you." And tells her to know her heart.
And DMS confronts his mother and says he wants to cancel the contract. And he loves SC and will marry no other (even though at the time, he doesn't know she likes him, wow) and Mom says no way, and he says he won't yield and he won't let her manipulate his life. Declaration of war? Yesss, more angst!
