dangermousieWhile watching Walk the Line I saw a trailer for Casanova which looked period and funny and coming out at the end of December and apparently has great early reviews.
Plot: in his late 20s, Casanova is in Venice and is in a bit of hot water because of his oh so very licenscious behavior, so he is forced to marry respectably. A pity (or fun) of it is that the girl he falls in love with will definitely (and understandably) have nothing to do with him. Add in the Inquisition, a lot of mistaken identities (most of them perpetrated by Casanova himself), duels, snarky battle of the sexes and the whole thing looks like it will be tons of fun. Looks like a light Opera come to life.
