More on my newest OTP

I just realized I haven't seen another show where the male lead and romantic beefcake is handicapped, in a wheelchair. Good for James Cameron!
Thoughts on Max/Logan, and on Zack.
Watched the ep where Max tries to cook Logan dinner and instead he comes all bent on his mission and makes them go to some aerodrome instead and they have a huge fight and "break up" and he is cranky and mopey and so is she and I just wanted to smack the boy for being so adorably clueless about the "date:" he is an obsessive perfectionist. Heeee.
And then he gets caught and the bad guys do the smart thing to find out who EO is. They don't beat him too much, they torture his companion. So he confesses to being EP even though he knows it means death. And then he gets beaten. Ahh, Logan, I adore your idealistic, obtuse self.
And then Max resuces him and they have a lovely moment in his apartment where she apologizes because he was right and it was important to save those kids, and he apologizes because he got too obsessed and because EP is a way for him to forget about less pleasant parts of his life, and then he offers to cook her what she was trying to cook for him on their aborted date and she says she can help him boil water (hee) and he gets an informant call and she says not to stop the war on her account and he replies the world will still be broken in the morning. Ahhh, I love my OTP. Of course, he doesn't learn anything for long because in another ep he turns their country trip into another crusading mission. But he saves her, so it's OK.
I also love the fact that Logan is bitter about being in a wheelchair and is having problems adjusting. Especially can be seen in the ep where they have to protect the guy who put him there and Logan just sits there rewatching the tape of his shooting. Poor angsty, scruffy guy. Let Max kiss it better. Of course, having a gf who is a superhero isn't super help.
Heee, and then I was watching the ep where Logan asked Max to be his date to a family wedding and they both almost talked themselves out of going and what with the grins...adorable. She steals the dress to wear and the look on his face when he sees her in it (and he has tux on, yum). And then she is jealous of his ex and at the end he buys the dress for her. And she took the locket from his evil aunt. Guuuuh, chemistry. And how adorable he is still intimidated by his family!
I also love their idea of bonding: blood transfusions. And then his getting frustrated he isn't getting better from them but at the end...when he tells her he has a surprise for her and asks her to close her eyes and she asks "carburator, flowers, jewelry?" and instead he gets up, rather shakily and they are really close to each other and there is mush and chemistry and she tells him she forgot how tall he was (yum) and he tells her he doesn't want to take it slow and tells him she always wanted to do something with him (love the double entendres) and...they go on a motorcycle ride.
I also loved their attempt at a date (interrupted of course) and when he ends up back in a wheel chair and he is bitter and suicidal and she says his being in a wheelchair makes no difference to her and when she runs back to his apartment worried and just clings. And she later finds out he writes poetry about her (and she bolts because she is so overwhelmed and he thinks it's because she didn't like it. :P)
But my fave ep so far is "I am I am a camera" where a lot of things happen but my favorite part is Logan finding out his Uncle (where all his trust $$$ comes from) is responsible for making hoverdrones that kill people. And he goes public with this as EO even though he knows it will mean he will lose all his money. So he and Max toast each other with really expensive wine. Guuuuh, so much Logan love.
Also, I totally have a thing for Zack now. Hot guys who get tortured horribly and still won't be broken? Whoa. And the scene where Max rescues him and he tells her he made himself forget the location of all the other X5s so he won't reveal it, and she tells him that he remembered her phone number and he tells her "as if I could forget anything about you." Damn you DA, for bringing me this close to being a UC shipper (well, at least half a UC, since Zack is clearly crazy for her). Because, you know, he is getting tortured for her. And then he is all freaking out about potentially betraying the others and he is crying and guuuuuh. There is just something totally pushing my buttons about competent "will take care of you no matter what" guys when they hurt.
