It cracks me up how huge Aoshi and Sano are compared to everyone else. I wonder if it means anything that those are my favorite characters (aside from Hiko). Kenshin has too much baggage for me.

Btw, I browsed a Pecemaker manga in the store, and you are right, quite different. Though Yamanami/Akesato is totally OTP now. I am a bit confused at to why he left her and went off by himself though...

Sano's and Aoshi's are managable luggage because they sort of make sense (i.e. Sano acts like a big lug because he has abandonment issues and really just needs someone to take care of him). Kenshin's baggage has weird labels.

Suzu's a bit creepy in the manga too. The manga is one of those that diverged a lot from the anime (it happens frequently, some series going off more than others). The actual Trigun manga is a bit different too (honestly, I love the manga more than the series *gasp*).

Yeah, Suzu is definitely creepy. I don't think I could get into the PK manga as it's too different and I am generally 'whatever I first came across I prefer' kinda gal.

Re: Trigun. I browsed through the manga, and the art was pretty but generally I find manga rather hard to follow visually, so no Trigun for me :)

True, but I think I'd rather deal with Kenshin's than with Aoshi's in RL. Too reserved (in fiction it's another matter, and I am an Aoshi girl, but being practical here...)
