Yes, still angst

dangermousieI decided there are only so many ETAs one can do.
Darn, they made Lei have a thing for SC too, after all. I am annoyed. I did love that in the anime he never liked her except as a friend. That just worked and it wasn't a triangle or anything. Oh well. Grrrr. Am annoyed. EXCEPT. I just got to the part where he tells her that he misses Chin (his first love) and regrets he didn't try harder and she is going to regret it like he did if she goes against her real feelings and gives up DMS.
I do love that SC goes into the river after DMS leaves and desperately searches for the locket he threw in after she gave it back to him. And Lei helps her look.
And I love that DMS can't bring himself to wish Lei luck when Lei tells him he needs to hear once more that DMS is not interested in SC (which DMS does say) because then he is interested in her for himself.
And I love DMS drinking there with Shi Mein and Mei-Tsuo (no idea about the spelling, sorry) and telling them about Lei and laughing and then ending up just crying, and slumping by the sink because he can't deal. Aaangst.
Also, DMS, there is such a thing as overdozing on the angst. It's bad for you. I mean, saying something like "if I lose Shan Cai, I think I might not even have strength enough to breathe" is quite romantic, but you'd probably be much happier and a lot more cheerful if you weren't so much in love. Awww, hell, who am I kidding. Me=shippy puddle of goo.
ETA: OMG! she just got home and he decorated her entire place with lights. Guuuuuuh.

Date: 2006-02-19 07:29 am (UTC)I just loved how in the anime Lei and SC were just pure friends. I actually liked that no one was really in love with her except for DMS and that's just more realistic. But it's OK :)
I have 3 and a half eps to go.
