oh god not the noble idiot trope! if there's anything i hate more than amnesia plots its noble idiocy. UGH. This drama has been kind of perfect to me so far and most of my issues were fixed in the last two eps, so ofc if this drama then decides to go off the rails in the next two eps that would be right on time -_-

I know riiight! I knew it, she will suffer a car accident, but instead of Maru taking care of her all these years, he didn't!! Instead they never meet after it.

WHAT? NO, this is not what I wished. But yeah I kind knew that lawyer JH wouldn't let EG alone in all this. It seems JH didn't kicked EG out of the company, and I think that is because of Lawyer JH :) also, why I think EG isn't running the company because she lost her memory? So once she regains her memory she will be able to run the company since her dad let clear she is the only heir.... ?

And, Maru making me angry! Why being cold to her.... and she doesn't even remembers him....

It's not "all these years", for one thing. It appears that at best, a year has lapsed.

Second, we don't know what happened in that tunnel, but
a) if he's also been injured, he'd have been in recovery himself and not in any position to take care of EG,
b) if he escaped unharmed, then his tremendous guilt and own trauma might have made him afraid to approach EG
c) even assuming he wanted to see her, would someone like Joon-Ha (who only knows MR deceived EG about his past) have let him visit her, when they (I'm assuming he and the secretary are the only ones who know the truth about EG's condition) were desperate to keep her condition a secret from everyone? Let Maru take care of EG? Yeah right.

If Maru takes care of EG, and I'm pretty sure that's still in the plan, we're going to see the hows and whys and wherefores ON SCREEN, not off screen "all these months" in dramatic time.

Yes, you are right, I also think it can be the guilt or Joon-Ha who knows who Maru is.

I just wished they were together, because I wanted to see the otp together and have some sweet time, but now I see we won't see it so soon or might never see it.... :(

I pretty much dread upcoming amnesia even though normally I like it. I mean, it's no surprise it's coming but I don't have to like it.

I know! I am so anxious about eps. 9 & 10. What worries me the most is the manner of the accident - I hope they don't make EG try to kill herself and/or MR because that seems a little... crazy and over-the-top. Anything else I can deal with.

Totally! I was actually dreading the amnesia part, since I thought they had a lot of potential with the Eun Gi/ Maru dynamic as it was, but this is even more extreme than I was expecting. Even if it turns out to be a brilliant plot twist in the end, I'm not sure I'm really all that interested anymore.

Is it shallow of me to say that I almost don't care what happens, as long at my I Lub You Joong-ki oppa continues to look as yummy as he does and send searing, intense looks all over the place?

Okay, I exaggerate, but it's not like we didn't know the amnesia was coming, since it was part of the premise. Hopefully that means the writer/s has things under control and the show will continue to be as interestingly character-populated as it has been.

When I read those previews... it felt like I'd swallowed my heart. So sad! So far I've really been liking this drama. It hadn't reached a "makjang overload" point for me... but it may go way beyong my limit soon! Not sure I can handle all that angsty stuff.

This is actually one thing that's consistent with the synopsis, the "accident." Though we don't know what happened in that tunnel in the end, so I don't want to debate that just yet. I'm just saying this isn't a development they decided to pull at the last minute. It's been in the works for months. What's different from the synopsis is the set-up (MR pushing her away because he's falling in love with her and his guilt, whereas in the synopsis EG's the only one in love and MR has ruthlessly used her) and the fallout (to be determined, but it already looks different).

If this is about how changed he is... again, we need to see more of the episode(s) but unlike Eun-Gi who's been given the "gift" of amnesia, thus the ability to repress all the terrible memories (though it's interesting that the one thing she remembers is her only good memory, of being in love with MR), he remembers everything, he's living with all those memories, and I'm guessing his change is his trauma, not just from the accident but also everything that came before. So yes, it is a setback. But she needs his help, more than ever, and he needs her help, more than ever. So it's not like 'season 2' so to speak is a repeat of 'season 1'. They've always said (the powers that be) that this drama was about healing. It wasn't clear how. Well, it's clear that S2 is going to be about healing.

I am worried that EG loses her memory in an accident that somehow involves both her and Maru's cars. But I don't know, so I won't particularly dwell on it.

The thing is, I knew amnesia was coming (it was in the synopsis) but I had a fool's hope they did away with it after all because I didn't think the drama needed it. It's not a plot twist I am fond of, however presented. I do trust LKH's writing so I am not freaking out, but I do wish they never bothered with amnesia at all.

I hope your right about the healing thing, because I feel like thats a powerful message and it would mean more if the theme is healing and overcoming the trauma of the past to embrace life again. I guess cause its something I can empathize with and I'd prefer that to one of her ridiculous makjang sad endings like in sang do or a love to kill or sorry i love you. (I suppose the last one at least made some narrative sense but still I was pretty D: when I read about all those endings and what built up to them...usually not much -_-) that said maybe she's trying to get away from that now since her last couple of dramas didnt end badly. altho i dont know the endings specifically since I'm planning to attempt to watch will it snow for christmas? at one point. anyway. I dont mind setbacks but I hope we dont go down a road of seriously convoluted happenings in order to keep eun ki and maru apart because i mean even without amnesia there was plenty they would have to work through before they can embark on some happily ever after love affair. but oh well, we'll see what happens i guess. I've been glued to the screen throughout this drama so far and I've never felt like writing so much meta and speculation about a drama before in forever so, hopefully the quality so far keeps up so I can continue to be as invested as I've been.

This drama really knows how to throw you for a loop! Crazy!...but so invested in the characters and story. Loving this drama so far. Maru & Eun Gi look absolutely gorgeous in the spoiler stills...even Jae Hee (whose character I hate w/ a passion, not the actress). This waiting week to week is killer, should've waited until it finished, then marathoned it...

I'm sure you've heard the good news about Yoochun's "I Miss You"? Yoon Eun Hye's confirmed! Yay! I was so happy when I read the news. Their chemistry is gonna be great!
