Do you want to hear something hilariously unexpected?

I am loving Ohlala Spouses! I only checked it out because I can't watch Faith until tomorrow but it is a totally awesome wacky quirky hoot! (With the beginning being like a missing episode of Gaksital and the rest pretty much gloriously insane).

I am not sure how much my enjoyment will last - I tend to not be able to maintain interest in wacky for 16 eps - but for now, I am in.

Wow really? I honestly couldnt make it past 15 minutes. I mean maybe it gets better but I was so horrified with the way the husband was behaving that I actually couldnt stand another second of it past the first part on dramacrazy. Like...that is not at all what I had in mind. I was expecting lots of bickering and banter but I thought you know maybe he has a shit time at a shitty job and that makes him cranky at home and he feels his wife doesnt appreciate that and likewise he feels he doesnt appreciate her tough time at home. but from what I saw (admittedly I jumped ship rly quick) that wasnt the case, and to add to the way he treats her at home he cheats on her too. like....how am I supposed to sympathize with him when he's so awful? (and I definitely didnt expect his abuse of her to extend to every other member of the household treating her badly too.)
at least in Cant Lose you kind of understood both sides and felt they both had valid points. and other times when the fighting got more serious it was because something small spiraled out of control or because of a misunderstanding. and there was no kids or mother in laws to side with the husband over the wife. I mean he was screaming his head off at her and I thought he was going to start hitting her over TEN DOLLARS? Like really? That's not funny or charming its fucking horrible. I dunno, maybe it gets better? Does it get better? the teasers made it look so witty and fun I really wanted to like it and I need a pick me up lately since I'm so glum these days. ugh. why do the ones i look forward to always inevitably disappoint me? -_-

Oh, there is no doubt the husband is a giant douche, I just find the whole thing so slapstick OTT it amuses me - none of it (plot or characters) feel real or make me care but they make me laugh. Considering the emofest I am getting courtesy of my other dramas-between Faith, Arang, Nice Guy and Five Fingers that's industrial grade emo - this makes for a nice change.

Though I have to say from personal experiences, apparently there are couples that are content to function with marriage as a running battle. I would hate it but they seem not to want to change it. Bizarre.

I confess I was pretty annoyed by first episode. The husband, I need to slap him! Grrr. But some parts of episode 1 was funny, like the confront between ahjummas and the girl who was having an affair with her husband. The ahjumma was all quiet and all, but then she turned on a gangster LMAO so funny!


But I also was worried since I saw ''I'm legend'' flashbacks while watching KJE suffering.... I mean that family is just........

Second episode was funnier, and I laughed so hard at the ''I'll be a nun and go to Afrika'' thing LOLOLOL and the Big mention..... and everything LOL

And omg, the actors are soo good in pretending to be him/her in their bodies. Hahahaha SHJ's voice and moves... LOL

I liked it, yeah the husband is a jerkwad but bring on the body switching hijinks because that looks hilarious.
They are doing a bit of memoirs of a geisha in the flashbacks with a mix from Gaksital. (even though moag is a horrible movie)
The actors were good and what I've heard they've had very fun filming.
