So, apparently Yoochun is going to be back on my screen! As a leading man in a romantic melodrama, one of my favorite things.

Yesss, life is good.

I realize that I am probably the only Yoochun fangirl who fangirls him solely for his dramas (that's what being utterly uninterested in kpop will do) but whatever! I've adored him since Sungkyunkwan Scandal (which is pretty much a perfect thing all around) and loved him in both Miss Ripley and Rooftop Prince despite both those dramas being pretty flawed.

So excited! Now please cast a halfway decent leading lady, please!

I also think that he is a much better actor than a singer. But he gets also better acting jobs now that he is not a member of DBSK anymore, and his English songs with JYJ are really good (not so typically KPop).

Yeah, I am glad that their dispute with their former management didn't kill their career.

Yep, let's say the more talented members of DBSK have left for better shores. Even Jaejong's acting (he was really good in Protect The Boss) has improved and junsu is a highly regarded musical actor now who even got an international award (not voted for by fans).

As for Yoochun, I think one of the reasons Rooftop Prince was not so good as e.g. SS or Quen In Hyeon's Man was that it was much more comedic than dramatic. Yoochun tends to overact when he does comedy, in SS he was perfect.

You're not the only one. I'm only interested in him as an actor too.

What other upcoming dramas are you interested in?

BTW, did you finish Rich Man Poor Woman? There's kissing in the final ep!

OMG, my sentiments exactly. I believe most of kpop is fictitious, what with only a few singing or rapping, and the rest just dancing or being pretty boys/girls.

Yoochun won my heart in Rooftop Prince and would it be too much to ask if his servile trio made cameos in his new drama? It would be nice to see they reincarnated as quirky detectives or fumbling foes. Just dreaming ;-) .

The writer is good so we can at least breathe a sigh of relief

Rumor is that Yoon Eun Hye has already accepted :/
She'd be pretty close to his age, first time since SKKS that he wouldn't be in a noona romance.

I also really like that he won't be a weepy hero.

More city hunter with a dash of melo please!

And yeo Jin Gu will be a pleasure to watch and I'm sure we'll get to see lots of adorable oppa-dongsaeng BTS between Kim So Hyun and Yoochun (Her oppa crush is adorable)

I'd love for it to be a more romantic City Hunter. Mmmm.

I love YEH so this would be wonderful.

Haha...I think he is the weakest voice of JYJ but it is hard to go against Jaejoong and Junsu who both have very clear and strong voices. But when it comes to acting he really has talent. I know Jaejoong was praised for his acting in Dr.Jin but in my opinion he was weak. I liked him more in Save the Boss since his entire body language fit with his acting more then.
Yoochun doesn't have that problem. He is getting more and more perfect "lying" with his entire body. At the end I stayed with Rooftop Prince only because of him. I will keep an eye at the new show and will surely watch if it fits my prey pattern :D

As much I adore BY I think Sulli's and Minho's body language suck. They look more like buddies than pretending be lovers.

I think Sulli and Minho are hindered by being in a teen idol drama - they are almost required to be stiff :)

I saw this earlier. So excited. Despite my Yoochun love, I still haven't see RP. I only had room for one time travel drama at that point, QIHM, and then the mixed reviews sort of turned me away. But I'm super excited to see him do a melodrama. I thought he did such a great job in Miss Ripley and he continues to just surprise me. I fall in love with his characters every single time. Every time.

RP was...flawed. Bit he was adorable in it, by far the best thing about RP.

He is just immensely likeable on screen. It's a gift.

Yay! Super excited too! 2 Yoochun dramas in a year...what a treat! He was soooo adorable in RP!

Hopefully they'll cast a leading lady around the same age as him or younger...as the storyline calls for them to be about the same age. There are lots of rumors floating around that YEH may be the leading lady and I'm actually all for it even though she's 2 years older, but I think they'd have good chemistry together. Can't wait till November! :)

I actually am with you about Micky. (although I do like Kpop) I know he is/was in a band, but I haven't heard any of his music- and I kind of don't really care. I love him as an actor, and don't really need to see anything else. :)

Also, I totally agree with you about Sungkyunkwan Scandal being pertty much perfect. I still have not seen Miss Ripley- I think I am a bit scared to watch it and then hate it.

MR isn't bad - it's flawed but interesting. SKKS is, of course, perfect.

I was originally in the same boat, life was simple but heck, I just can't resist his gawdem smexy voice. I'm always a sucker for singers with deep, husky/raspy voice and unfortunately, park yoochun has it. :( It was my downfall, ever since.

not his best because he's singing in sub zero temperatures (drunken truth cover+yoochun solo)

i actually prefer his japanese singing; well he isn't singing in this one but i love the jazzy vibe and he's rapping
this one is an m-flo tribute
