I just wanna ask where you usually download episodes with subs? My usual download place for some reason still hasn't released Episode 5. Which is weird because they're usually so fast with the subs. And I am literally going crazy over here. Lol.

Ep 5 isn't out anywhere yet with subs in a downloadable form because viki (which is the fastest streaming subber) hasn't even finished it yet (it's 90% subbed) so there is nowhere to convert subs from.

It should be interesting how they manage this story considering I can't see either living in each other's time.

So I finally got to sit down and watch the first four episodes and I'm relieved to say that I like it. It doesn't have the lush feel of an epic that I was expecting but it does have a cdrama feel to it that I can appreciate. It sort of reminds me of Vigilantes in Masks a little bit.

My only quibble so far is that the cinematography is a bit lacking for a fantasy. I mean, it's not terrible, far from it, but at times there's a certain lackluster quality to how it's filmed. But like I said, it's not terrible and that can be easily overlooked.

I see why some people might not find it to be their thing because it's not really a traditional sageuk but I like that it has this sort of wuxia vibe to it with all the fantasy elements.

I think it dies feel and look wuxia (which is what I thought from the first trailer - cdrama it reminds me of is not a grand epic like Three Kingdoms but a 'proper' wuxia) and that is what I love (but I also see that if you like sageuks, this is going to be weird - even by fusion sageuk standards, this doesn't feel much like one - it's even more wuxia/less sageuk than Legend was). Cinematography-wise, I've seen a lot of complaints but I don't know - maybe it's because I watch a lot of older dramas (by older, I mean prior to 2010 - Chuno sort of opened pandora's box by using that Red One camera and now productions are on the bandwagon) so while I can tell, e.g., that Love Rain or Arang have prettier cinematography, this doesn't bother me. In fact I, as an old fogey, am more used to it.

It doesn't so much bother me, I just feel like with the story it has, it would be better served if it was more beautifully filmed.

As soon as I started watching the first episode, I was like, "OMG! It's a wuxia!" And it's probably one of the reasons, like you, that I like it.

You know I've never seen Legend. I probably should, huh? Heh. I always forget about it.
