I really hope we'll see some character development with the next few episodes. Specially with the Doctor. I prefer this kind of dramas to be fast-paced.

Play nice :) That's the only one out of 8 (!!!) airing dramas I am watching that I am irrationally protective about, so you can bash the other 7 all you like :P

Re: character development - you should be grateful we are not at a 'they are two feet tall still' stage - I mean, in most sageuks, fusion or not, the characters would still be little kids :P (Don't get me started on The Duo and its 9? 10? 13? episodes with kid versions of the leads).

That's precisely why I don't watch sageuks! With very very rare exceptions (Legend, Hong Gil Dong, this)! I couldn't even finish "The Princess' Man" (okay, I skipped and watched the ending) and "Tree with Deep Roots" precisely because I'm too impatient!

this makes me lol. I loved Victorian novels growing up. But I'm inherently impatient so I'm pretty sure I read fast enough to skim the details just to get to the good stuff. I don't even know HOW that's actually possible but I'm horrible with reading details unless I have a highlighter going line by line.

Also this is why I can't watch a sageuk either. Way too slow.

Philip Lee is so gorgeous, it's unreal - I still remember the first time I saw him in Legend - my jaw dropped. I am hoping he will end up with the mute pharmacy owner.

I want make outs! Not even to annoy KHS antis but because you know it will be scorching.

I'm not sure if the girl is coming back. The shirt he's wearing that picture is from his flashback so I'm guessing they'll expand on his backstory with her.

I enjoyed BOF - it was a trainwreck but addictive.

PT had a horrible start, pretty good middle and then it went blah again. The heroine was - no words for how annoying.

I started BOF, or more like picked a couple of episodes to watch from the storyline but I can't stand the lead actress (I've tried and failed with her in other dramas too) so I couldn't make it very far.

PT's leading lady was annoying too. I remember following the DB recaps, jumping in the middle to watch the cute bits and then just following the recaps to the crappy end.

I feel like somehow LMH always ends up coming out of good and bad dramas, the winner. Even with the crazy BOF hair, it was my first time seeing him in something and I remember thinking he was pretty good in it.

Why does Monday seem to be light years away!!! I don't know if you have read the written preview for episode 5 yet, but it looks like our couple will not get a lot of screen time together, at least not until episode 6.

I remembered doing a poll on some random websites, asking which OTP among the August drama batch would likely to end tragically. At that time, before any of the dramas was broadcasted, I voted for Arang and Eun Oh 'cause I have yet to read a love story between a human being and a ghost that ends with rainbows and unicorns, be it Western novels or Asian folktales. However, I took that back after finished episode 4 of Arang, that drama screams happy ending and I bet all my fortune on it. I have countless hours of drama analysis to back me up on that, the only time that my intuition failed me was with Hong Gil Dong, but I bet more than half of the drama-watching population was fooled by the Hong sisters. Arang is set in a magical world with a Jade Emperor who can hell bend everything and he's got Arang's back. So, problem solved!

Now I'm more worried about our Faith's OTP. We have magic but no superior power to fix things if they go awry plus historical facts regarding Choi Young's death on top of the 600yr separation on one side of the scale, weighing against our OTP's happy ending. It's definitely skewing toward the not-so-good side now. I wonder if the scriptwritter is willing to alternate history (slightly) in favor of the characters. The fact that this is such an epically doomed relationship actually keeps me giddy with anticipation (I guess I have sadistic tendencies).

Yeah, after ep 4 of Arang, I am pretty sure that after some angst, it will end well. They'll just make her human permanently or something.

Faith - I just don't see how it can end happily for our couple, ever. CY cannot leave to 21st century - not just because he's unequalled to cope (because that could be overcome) but because of his prominent role in history, a role he occupies for decades. I suppose she can stay in the past? Hmmm. I just need them to be happy, but don't see how.

I read on soompi that in the history, CY will die at the age of 70 something? So, there's possibility he will still be alive at the end of this drama, since I don't think they're gonna tell the story that long. However, there's an interesting point some people share that in the history CY said that grass will not grow on his grave due to his unjust death. It really did not grow then until the year of 1979 when it started to grow. The interesting thing is, thats the year Eun Soo was born. I find this idea so poignant and a great mix of reality and fantasy collide together. It will be amazing if they use this in the drama, but that would mean a sad ending for our couple..but the idea is awesome! *sigh* Is there a way, they can use that and still give us a happy ending.. Anyway, this drama is flawed and all (what drama doesn't?) but what disappoint me initially is not because its flawed, but because the flaws are not what I expected from the pd-writer combo at all. I guess there's a reason why this drama is so delayed.. Despite all the flaws however, the awesomeness of this drama lies in its characters and their relationships. And the OTP, I don't know what about it, I'm so giddy when they are together. I'm liking Faith so far, and looking forward for more episodes.

I read that about the grass and it would be awesome if they use that.

I don't doubt CY will be alive at the end of the drama, I just don't see how he can end up with ES into the bargain - the latter seems impossible seeing that he was instrumental in Korean history until his death so he can't sneak off to the future. And yet, somehow I can't see ES staying in the past. So I don't know!

And also, want to add. I think the writer is really creative in how she insert the humor and mix in the modern aspect into the goryeo time. Some of the things that I really really like and think its amazing by the writers;

1. CY using the police shield as a weapon.

2. ES's phone ask to feed.

3. ES wanting to bring back the vase etc
