Miaka is kinda dim. She has finally arranged a teleportation-type meeting with Tamahome, where they can see and talk to each other from great distance (magical equivalent of a videophone I guess) and she isn't going to ask him about bruises on his face?

Maybe she just assumes everyone who goes to Kutou gets mistreated, but hey, shouldn't she then at least express concern? Or curiousity? The girl was all ready to do a Philippa and get raped for his sake, after all. Heck, I am curious myself because he wasn't being whipped on his face (obviously). Did they beat him up for dessert? Or did the bruises teleport? Heck, I don't care because they look hot. Maybe Miaka just thinks the same.

I'll assume that she asked during the portion of the conversation we didn't see. Or she is myopic. Or (most likely) the TPTB didn't want to waste extra time on extra exposition.

And they kiss through the glass because they can't touch. Aaaaangst.

ETA: Yui, he doesn't love you. He just doesn't. Really not a hard concept. He's put it as bluntly and as nicely as he can. Deal with it. The fact that he met you the same time as Miaka is kinda...irrelevant. Leaving aside the issue that he's spent much more time with her, this isn't math. He happens to like ditzy and cheerful and not clingy and emo. Nothing wrong with that. Argh. You are 15. Get over it. It is Not. The. End. Of. The. World. You really shouldn't take out your emo issues out on the world. Go listen to a Japanese version of Ani DeFranco, get some black lip gloss and feel all grown-up and bitter. Then get over it. God, that girl annoys me.

ETA 2: OMG. Tamahome just broke Miaka's arm (by the looks of it) with a mace. And got a kick out of it. And during this little operation he told her how much he missed her and smirked. He is eeeeeeevil (clearly not a love potion he's recieved as that would just switch his affections not make him hit defenseless women). I know he is enchanted and he's saved her quite a few times before so there is a positive net balance there, but Miaka is a much more forgiving woman than I am. OMG, OTP angst. Especially since he earlier told Yui that he wants to protect Miaka with his whole body and soul. Hah. The bad guy is eeeevil and loves to torture the OTP. Love.

ETA 3: All the men that don't fall for Miaka seem to fall for Hotohori. Good for them. Shows exquisite taste.

I always felt that if Yui spent half as much time trying to turn Nakago from his evil ways as she did moping things would have turned out better for everyone. It's not Miaka's fault she ended up with the completely hot batch of warriors. Yui should have made do with what she had and been done with it.

Indeed. Yui just strikes me as so useless. She doesn't do anything. Heck, if she became evil with relish and went proactive, I'd like her better. Seriously.
