I am addicted to Fushigi Yuugi theme song. I love the melody and I love the visuals. So pretty and so melodious. I just keep replaying it. I am also tempted to reply Miaka and Tamahome's music box kiss, where they kiss in the store-room and you see this old music box wind down and it's really pretty and I am bad at describing it. Also, Yui is an ungrateful bitch. She really should use her brain and see that Miaka came all the way to enemy country for her. Yeah, yeah her time in bookworld sucked (was she raped when she came to the book world????) but it's not Miaka's fault (she even wants to save yui AFTER Yui tries to kill her) and ultimately, I can never like or root for baddies because no matter trauma or justification, they are bad. They do bad things. The ultimate choice is theirs. After all, Vash in Trigun didn't end up super evil even if his life was horrible. Though hey, it does lead to the really cool scene of Tamahome breaking through Nakago's barriers to get to Miaka through sheer stubborn grit.

Any takers for the DC Chinese New Year Gala next Thursday or Friday? They are selling tickets...

Meteor Garden continues to be addictive and highly similar to the anime (long post on it coming up). Dao Ming Si is like an adorable puppy in his quest for Shan Cai's approval. A puppy with huge nasty bitey teeth and spikes on his collar.

GW GW is one of those fandoms where I participate on a very shallow level. I've seen 2/3 of the episodes, read a whole slew of fanfic, and amassing a legion of pretty boy pics on my computer... and that's about the extent of my involvemet ;)

Glad to see your addiction to HYD/MG continues but I suggest not to watch MG 2 it ruins the first one.

I too love FY theme song, it's playing in my iPod as I type. I've been reading your past entries and yes it is the gayiest non-gay animes out there and from what I can tell you're not that far along. But hey it's a silly anime which I also love.

hey it's a silly anime which I also love.

I love it because it doesn't take itself too seriously, but it also has really fun melodramatic romance and angst. It's just struck this right balance. It's not going to deal with the extremities of the human soul a la Trigun (talk about verbose marathoning! :P), but it's this incredibly addictive heroic fantasy story. And I am a sucker for angsty pretty boys.
