I am undoubtedly easy, but I fell for Fushigi Yuugi. Maybe it's the fact that FY doesn't really take itself seriously all the time but has moments of sheer post-modern glee (the bit when Tamahome, Miaka and Yui pause in the middle of deadly danger to debate puns is priceless). Or maybe it's the really beautiful character designs. Or maybe it's because I know that if I was 15 and catapulted into a strange medieval-type world I wouldn't do half so well as Miaka. Sure she yells for Tamahome (but hey, why would a 15 year old modern girl know how to fight? At least she tries) and she is a little clueless and she isn't a genius (though she isn't dumb). In those circumstances, I don't think I'd do better. (I do like Miaka and think she is sweet. She is literally willing to die to save those she loves and she certainly tries her best to fight and she is funny. Of course, this now means I have to hide from

katranna and

crumpeteer. And

katranna knows where I live, too. Oi). Or maybe I am just a sucker for heroic fantasy. Or maybe I am just sappy enough to like Miaka/Tamahome (when he tells her how he feels in ep 11, I admit I kinda...melted. And I am not afraid to say it :P).

In conclusion, there is an even more pressing reason why I love Fushigi Yuugi
