1. Joo Won is rumored to be considering the lead role in the drama version of the hit movie about a man who finds out his girlfriend was a secret agent (after they break up and he becomes one himself). I am...torn. On one hand, more Joo Won in a drama is always a good thing. On the other, this would air barely a month after Bridal Mask ends, and since they will start filming before airing, this means no rest for him. Plus, Kim Nam Gil and Lee Dong Gun turned down the lead role, so I am wondering if there are problems - the makers are people behind Chuno, one of my all-time favorite dramas, but also behind Runaway - Plan B, one of the most useless monstrocities to ever grace dramaland. People's suggestions for female leads drive me insane as well - Son Ye Jin? Kim Tae Hee? I am not a big fan of the former, but more to the point, she looks almost old enough to be his mom and it's not that sort of a story. I love Kim Tae Hee, who has great chemistry with her co-stars despite her limited acting prowess, but once again, she's rather too old. I want an age-appropriate pairing, please.

2. Posters for May Queen are out and I want!!!



It's like my dream cast, pretty much. Though how they expect to resolve the romantic rivalry between Jae Hee and Kim Jae Won, whom I adore equally and who have equal leading man status, I have no idea. Never has the word 'threesome' been more appropriate.









3. Posters are out for Five Fingers as well. My favorite is this, because it looks like Joo Ji Hoon and Eunjung are about to do something X-rated on the piano as soon as the photoshoot is over...



The women look amazing but the men are saddled with odd clothes and hairstyles. Still, I don't care. Because Joo Ji Hoon!!!



Our hero, who is trapped in 1999, it seems like.



Ji Chang Wook, who only probably went evil as a protest against his hideous wardrobe...



Their mother, who I think is supposed to be not in the running for the nicest Mom in the world.

I'm a little worried about Five Fingers now. Eunjung is involved in a really big scandal right now and she's been accused as one of the people that bullied a member of her girl group. The girl who allegedly, I totally believe that she was though, got bullied has been kicked out of T-ARA. There's been a lot of backlash. It's gotten to the point where neitzens are asking for her to be removed from programs.

Personally I don't care about Eunjung but I would hate for something to ruin Joo Ji Hoon's comeback drama.

Ugh, I don't care if Eunjung is a bullying bitch or not as long as I like her acting in a drama and I do. And JJH's comeback doesn't need more scandal. Grrr.

Don't care one way or another about idol groups and I care barely tell who they are, but it's all everyone has talked about over the weekend, to the point I'm more or less caught up, and I agree with att123 it could overshadow FF. It's very, very ugly, and today's development only made it worse.

I don't think it'll come down to Eunjung getting replaced, though given the incredibly vehement reactions, wouldn't rule it out either. The problem's the immediate association every time her name comes up. I haven't seen the 'incriminating' video, just the screencaps making the rounds, and it's still chilling. And by kicking out the 'victim' and offering a very flimsy explanation, the group's management ensured the scandal would go on and on. Not what you want on your hands just before a drama premiere.

I didn't really believe that it was a real issue until I saw the stills of that video. I completely agree with you there, it is disturbing. It also gives me a really negative association with Eunjung. I hope that I'll be able to still enjoy the drama with her in it.

Mousie, they have a lot of their fans turning against them right now. I think that they wouldn't get rid of Eunjung but if the issue gets worse it very well could affect the drama.

sbs first denied removing eunjung from the drama but now they say the situation is "undecided".

since they cannot refilm everything right now i think they can kill off her charatcer or add another, if they do plan on removing her from the drama.

honestly i just don't want another scandal attahced to ji hoon and this t-ara drama is getting bigger by the minute.

It was so pathetic how their CEO tried to justify it. He said that there were 19 staff members complaining about the girl. Really? That is just not even a good lie. No, I think she had been a part of the group for two years or so.

Same here. I just don't want anything to derail JJH's comeback! It's amazing that he's even back and I want him to be successful.

she was a newer member, and she was bullied from the beginning. and there's actually a video somewhere where Eunjung shoved a rice cake into Hwayoung's (the bullied girl's) mouth and hwayoung was visibly upset while Eunjung had a....it was a pretty scary expression tbh. Jiyeon and Eunjung seem to be where alot of netizens are directing their anger but there isnt really any evidence that these two were worse to hwayoung than the others except that story about jiyeon slapping hwayoung for messing up the dance steps. its a pretty big mess atm. Its all over the tabloids in korea right now.

Personally, I'd like to see Joo-won play a role closer to the image he projects in 1N2D: lively, easygoing, very open (surprisingly, he's very touchy-feely!), cheekily goofy, and full of aegyo. It would be refreshing to have a warm, emotionally mature beta male archetype (via Henry Tilney from Northanger Abbey or Shouta Kazehaya from Kimi ni Todoke) as the main male lead — as opposed to a variation of the cold, Byronic hero-like alpha male.

Don't like anyone of either gender who isn determined to get what they want, is competent, decisive and with guts. At least with women, there is the excuse of society oppressing them/ training them differently. Guys don't have that excuse. If u can walk all over someone, it's hard to respect them.

Oh, no, no, these emotionally mature beta males are competent, decisive, and have plenty of guts when the need arises for such. That's the best part! ;)

ETA: If you have the time, I highly recommend reading and/or watching Kimi ni Todoke, I really think you'll like Kazehaya. He doesn't let scheming secondaries get in the way of clarifying misinformation/feelings with the main female lead on whom he's crushin'. :)

I'm excited for five fingers tbh. I can't wait to see JJH again and I don't care about the eunjung scandal cause from all i've seen it's just hearsay and no actually evidence, so bring on the drama please hopefully it's good and doesn't suck cause JJH needs a win after his scandal and in addition to this one.

oh there's plenty of evidence, if you look at it critically and dont listen to every outlandish lie the company tries to feed you. But even if Eunjung is a bully its as much on the CEO for creating the toxic working in environment (he practically pitted the girls against each other and overworked them even through serious injuries) as it is on the girls for lashing out at that poor girl. I dont think Eunjung should be kicked off, cause it would be a huge problem for the drama and its not any of THEIR fault about what happened with T-ara.

eh, I don't really care tbh. I wasn't with those girls when things were allegedly happening so I can't take anyone's side/words. Only they know what happened and I'm used to the k-ent blowing everything up and i'm not here to judge anyone hopefully they all just figure it out for themselves.

I think regarding the scandal if it's true that Eunjung is a bully she shouldn't be allowed to continue with this drama especially because it is JJH return to drama production. And as a victim of bullying myself who had to switch schools because "it was my own fault for being bullied" according to several teachers it's wrong to allow a bully to get a away with it.

I liked the movie version KJH and KJH had chemistry and it was a fun comedy action movie. A series would work but JW might need a break after doing bridal mask and not jump into another production that seems to be having problems. I adore Son Ye Jin, she's a fantastic actress but she's doing more film then tv work so I doubt she'd even have the time.
May queen hmmmm, I like the leads especially Jae Hee (he is fantastic in 3 iron) but I've never ever liked Han Hye Jin.

Re: Eunjung. For me, I don't care what actors do in RL, as long as I like their performance/character. Endorsements are different though because they rely on actor's own image and personality. Either way, anxious for JJH's comeback.

Ugh. Eunjung's scandal has gotten so bad to the point that i have a feeling it'll reflect negatively on JJH if he happens to get close/show any chemistry with her, which is of course essential for the headlining couple in a drama. The evidence has been pretty incriminating, so I doubt people will be able to think of anything else when watching her on screen, let alone be able to actively root for her as a protagonist.

Anyway I wonder how the PDs must feel at this point. The whole casting controversy with their male lead happened only a couple weeks ago and they barely decided to keep him in, and now there's a huge scandal/petition that calls for their female lead to be removed.

Yeah I kind of feel bad for the writers, rest of the cast and crew working on this project because Ji Hoon's bad judgement and Eunjung's nastiness are hardly their fault and yet they are gonna bear the brunt of the public backlash. If this drama does well in ratings I'll be surprised (altho there is the saying that all publicity is good publicity)
