People make Pocahontas/John Rolfe vids. EEEEE!

(Yes, sadly, this is set to Celine Dion but we can't have everything).

Why, yes, I am on a Christian Bale kick, how did you know? I have to obsess over something now that most of my dramas have been postponed...

Won't be able to watch TDKR until next month (though it's already out here) but I have a horrible feeling someone's going to spoil me before I get the chance. Some @ssh@t couldn't resist doing it in the comment section of an article I was reading on Bale's surprise visit yesterday. Grrr... The longer I postpone it, the bigger the chance...

On the upside(?) more spoilers are being leaked re: Nice Guy and I'm... intrigued.

Oooh, what Nice Guy spoilers? Shaaare!

I promise not to spoil TDKR. All I am going to say is that it was really good.

It's fairly detailed so I'm writing/preparing a separate post. But in addition to what was leaked recently (chez ockoala etc., but originally on DCgall), we now have more info. on the characters' backgrounds.

The New World have amazing cinematography, but the thing that kind of bother me was that Q'orianka Kilcher (Pocahontas) was only 15 when she filmed this whereas Christian Bale and Colin Farrell were in their 30s. It made their intimate scenes (especially the ones between Pocahontas and John Smith) uncomfortable to watch. Since you're on a Christian Bale kick, have you seen The Fighter or The Flowers of War?

She was only 15? I would have never guessed. I thought the actress was 20 or so. It's historically accurate but yeah - to my modern self it's a little odd.

I loved The Fighter but haven't seen Flowers of War. I will definitely seek it out.

Oh, I love Pocahontas and John Rolfe. And I'm the biggest Christian Bale stan out there, tbh. I'll watch him watching paint dry, etc etc. It is even more exciting when he plays a role that has him with a love interest because he tends not to act in those sorts of movies. But I'll watch him in anything basically (and pretty much have!)

Icon!

Ooooh, I love him too. I've watched some...odd...movies because he was in them :)

For some weird reason, even though I haven't thought of TNW in years, I woke up wanting to watch it. Though if anyone expects me to have a sympathy for a heroine who ends up with Christian Bale instead of Colin Farrell, they are sorely mistaken.

Yeah, I ended up congratulating her on her good life choice! Rolfe > Smith

Too bad she died. To get Elizabethan Christian Bale and then to keel over without enjoying this for a good long while = cruel.
