I am so excited for Nice Guy, it's seriously becoming an obsession at this point! I just hope it won't be a rocks-fall-and-everyone-dies type of ending. And knowing who the writer is makes me worry a bit. But to be fair she did write Thank You and Will It Snow at Christmas so my OTP may stand a chance at survival.

The angst will be juicy though! I can't wait to see MCW and SJK's chemistry together.

I am excited for NG too - as to the ending, it's 50/50 - I have hopes but I won't hold my breath. I still remember A Love to Kill and Sang Do.

I've only seen MISA and that gutted me. I guess since I know what I'm getting into it might be better than being blindsided...

Did you like ALT and Sang Do?

ALTK was my n1 drama for a long time and I loved Sang Do.

I have yet to see a drama by this writer I disliked.

I'll have to watch more of her work then. Thanks for the rec!

Keep in mind that I adore both melos and dysfunctional OTPs and they aren't everyone's thing.

haha Yes, I know that well from your posts!

I've found that the longer I watch dramas the more I start to appreciate the angst and dysfunction as well.

I still play the dialogue from ALTK ost on a regular basis. "Call me hyung..." Gah! Also, Kim Sa Rang (?) was fantastic in her role in ALTK. Definitely one of the more memorable second leads.

A Love To Kill and Sang Doo both seared me. The soundtrack for the first and the entire storyline but especially the ending for the latter.

Gah!

It's soooo hard to keep your hopes down with stuff like Arang, Faith and Nice Guy...and it's not just the actors either....there's the director from Hon, Smile You and CYHMH for Arang, Faith is a Song Ji Nah drama and Nice Guy is Lee Kyung Hee's...how can one possible top having all this airing in one season??!...then there;s the potentially brainless stuff like To the Beautiful You (BOF director) and Five Fingers (Temptation of and Angel anyone?) ....of course I'm checking out both... one because its the hilarious (fluff) Hana Kimi's remake and the other because its a JJH comeback and I WOULD NOT miss that for the world.....speaking of to the beautiful (hate this title)...will you be watching??

I am going to check out To the Beautiful You but knowing my drama preferences, chances of my sticking through with it to the end are close to none. Even if it's good, it's going to be pure fluff and I rarely get into those.

There's too much there to be excited about. Faith and Arang and Song JoonKi/Moon Chae Won and Joo JiHoon dramas, and City Conquest which I will attempt for Kim HyunJoong's pretty pretty face.
I want to wait till reviews come out for a few episodes of Haeundae Lovers before jumping into that one though. The idea that that premise as a comedy baffles me.

Re: HL. I keep thinking didn't Dog/Wolf do this as a tragedy? Bwuh? I suppose Prosecutor Princess was and it always came across as Mawang as romcom to me.

From: [identity profile] shadowkeeper.livejournal.com
I thought PP could pull off being a rom-com because the Mawang-like event happened a generation removed from the main characters so Park ShiHoo's character didn't grow up twisted and nearly psychopathic hellbent on revenge.

I just keep thinking that if HL is a comedy, it'd be like 'My Boss My Hero' (the jdrama or the kmovie) where people are like 'lol, isn't being a gangster fun and silly?' with amnesia drama thrown in and it just feels like it would be terrible and silly.

From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
Yes, I am just not feeling anything about HL. For one, I fail to see this concept work for 16+ hours.

It's sad because Kim KangWoo was so fantastic in A Man's Story, and I don't think he's done much since then. I'm holding out hope that the 'comedy' part means it'll just not be utterly angst filled and bloody and maybe it'd be decent.

Yes, he was excellent in SOAM.

The writer is good so who knows, there is hope...

This is gonna be a kickass drama season! *__*

I'm more excited for Jdramas. The past few seasons have been pretty boring, nothing caught my attention (in the past YEAR the only Jdrama I loved was probably W no Higeki).
But this new season is FILLED with amazing Jdramas. Lots of tragic romance! There's even an age gap romance!

This upcoming Kdrama season interests me mostly because of the actors. SO MANY actors/actresses I love are coming back. It's like an early Christmas.

This has the potential to be amazing... or a total failure.

I need a sugar daddy, so I can lounge before the TV all day, watching god knows how many amazing kdramas that are upcoming.

Interesting to note that, while the most anticipated is Arang Sato, the love seems due to Shin Min Ah or her pairing with Lee Jun Ki, but not Lee Jun Ki by his loneself self. Whatev! I want him and will gladly take him, if you young 'uns are too young to remember his fabulous self. Lee Min Ho, though Lee Min Hot he may be, proved too young for me in City Hunter. Give me K from Time Between Dog and Wolf any day, especially since he ought to have post-army musculature!

I'll give you both LMH and Junki if I can have Joo Ji Hoon (my choice on the poll). Te man hasn't done a drama since 2007 but I still adore him.

Deal! Joo Ji Hoon is admittedly a cool cat (loved him in Antique Bakery and Mawang) but LJK is my first kdrama love.

He was in my second kdrama, Goong, which convincing me that liking Full House was not a fluke :)

Apparently i just realized that i'm excited for Arang lol, so many dramas about to start so it was hard to keep track of everything but i know i'm being superficial to say that i'm looking forward to watch Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah 'cause they're so pretty :P
Also Faith and Haeundae Lovers looks promising, but i can only judge them after at least the first two episodes.

i'm craving for a meaty sageuk so i might add "The Great Seer" to my list too (i forgot to check this on "I am interested in all the following").

too bad i don't even know what's going on with Jdramas lol last time i watched something was Zenkai Girl and Marumo no Okite, it's harder and harder to get Japanese dramas subbed so i ended up just watching Korean dramas instead. /csb

Excited for Nice Guy, hands down. Song Joong Ki in a lead role. One word----FINALLY! Add on Moon Chae Won in the mix, and I'm sold on the drama whether this drama would suck big time.
But excited for Arang as well! :))

For May Queen, isn't it Han Ji Hye (The Duo), not Han Hyo Joo (Shining Inheritance, Dong Yi)?

Wow everyone is excited for Arang and I am pretty much not interested in it at all. I just dont care for supernatural dramas tbh. I am however the only person excited for To the Beautiful You. Yes I know it will be terrible and I dont CARE. I just love school dramas and youth romances and Minho is gorgeous. I am easy 2 please. I fully expect to dislike Nice Guy but for Song Joong Ki I will watch just about anything. Oppa Oppa Oppa I"ll be down down down~ and Faith I will watch bcuz it sounds like fun. Hopefully it IS fun and not boring half the time like Rooftop Prince. btw how DID a love to kill end? I stopped watching it mid way but I always wondered.
