A quick post on AGD 13

dangermousieI am traveling so no proper posts/caps until Monday, but I wanted to say that I loved AGD 13. I've seen people complain that nothing happened but that's the thing - I love the mellow feel if this drama - these people feel like real people and the drama like a peek into lives of these very real yet very interesting people I deeply care about. I am a bigger makjang fan than a lot of people but I think it has its place and it's not in the lovely, poetic, naturalistic AGD. But then arguably my favorite drama is Worlds Within which was very divisive because a lot of people said nothing happened and I adored it beyond reason.

How can he be so presumptuous about Yoon and that he would never be happy with Me Ahri and that he doesn't like her?!

Date: 2012-07-08 06:32 am (UTC)Jung Yong Hwa's cameo is very enjoyable. Surprisingly he has more facial expressions now *put on flamesuit if any of his fans are around*.
We still have 7 episodes left. I hope a number of things will be revealed in a timely manner: Yoon's late wife & their marriage (soooo curious), JR-MS background story, What Happened With Se Ra, Who is The Father (oh no, possibly another appearance by Eun Hee), How Does The Father Adjust to New Role, The Mother of Yi Soo and hopefully How Mae Ri and Yoon Grow A Spine. Just pleeaseeee writer Kim, don't go and do a crash boom bang toward the end. I hate watching drama as it airs, but I'm fully trapped into AGD now. Let's ride the train together my friends.

Date: 2012-07-08 07:23 am (UTC)I was kind of iffy about watching this drama because it related with people who are about 15 years older than me, so I thought that I couldn't delve into their story, but I was shocked and surprised that I did.
It was in interesting development with Tae San and his point of view on the relationship between Yoon and his younger sister to the point where he had to lay it out for her to understand *sobs*
AND THEN THE BOMB DROPPED AT THE END OF THE EPISODE!! O_O;;

Date: 2012-07-09 04:33 am (UTC)Tae San is the eldest and only male, so he's pressured into getting married and have children to continue on the family line. So it can't help that he holds traditional ideas to "uphold the family honor" since he's no longer a spring chicken.
Se Ra is a character with female modern independence ideals, who fought ardently for her position now and doesn't want to get shackled into marriage because she views that all her hard work that she strived for will go down the drain.
They do clash, but I do enjoy their screen times together~
