1. Is I Need Romance 2 worth checking out? I love Lee Jin Wook and Jung Yumi, but I already have a full slate plus the original INR was not anything that appealed to me, and I am generally very picky about my romcoms (A Gentleman's Dignity is the first one I loved in years).

2. So, I saw some spoilery caps for upcoming eps of Bridal Mask and there is a shot of Mok Dan in the torture chamber with Kang To and Shunji (who are not being tortured, obviously). Now, that is very little to go on, but I bet Shunji ordered her tortured for information on Gaksital. If that is so, I think this highlights a fundamental difference between Shunji and Kang To at their darkest. When KT had Mok Dan 'questioned,' she was nobody to him. If Shunji does the same, she is the woman he supposedly loves. While it is in no way excusable for Kang To to be brutal to strangers, it does highlight the gradations in his character back then - even though he may not care for random people, he does care fiercely for those he loves - he is horrified when he finds out who she is and after that it's clear that, despite all his talk, he would not be able to harm a hair on her head. But with Shunji, at the time this happens, she is about as close to most important person as you can get - she is supposedly his true love. And yet he is having her tortured. If he is capable of doing it to someone he loves, it is a whole other level of chilling. How ironic, after all of Kang To's talk about being able to kill the person he loves, yet being utterly incapable of it, and all of Shunji's horror at the possibility of even small mistreatment of a loved one, and then having her tortured. Of course, this is pure speculation. For all I know, Kimura ordered this and both guys are rescuing her. But what is life without speculating.

3. Anybody watching Beloved? Is it any good? I am very fond of Kim Min Joon.

I am insanely in love with "I Need Romance 2". It's really good and the actors are given good roles.

This week I marathoned the first "I Need Romance"... and it really paled in comparrisson to the sequel. HAH. It seemed inferior in every way. The acting was MUCH worse, the characters much less appealing, the cinematography wasn't as good, the story not as good either.

In short... you need "I Need Romance 2" in your life.

I'll check it out then. Too much of a fan of LJW not to, as long as there isn't a serial cheating storyline or similar.

Hi! I'm a lurker stepping out of lurkdom to chime in: I've watched the first two episodes of I Need Romance 2 and LOVED them. LOVE. The chemistry between LJW and JY is out of this world and so far I adore them both. The premise is a lot more appealing than in the original (to me, at least) in that the leads are in an on-again, off-again long-term quasi-cohabitative relationship, rather than a long-term relationship that's just fizzled. So far no cheating (I reaaaaaaally hope that this show doesn't go there), and I find Jung Yumi's character much more appealing than the lead in the original (or at least, what I saw of her before I dropped the show). JY's character is very smart, mature, accomplished, and a little quirky. I can relate more to her relationship with her friends and so far they seem like rounded characters than cardboard cutouts. The directing also seems more assured than in the original.

I've just checked out the first ep and I am in looooove! I was super-worried there'd be cheating (seeing the storyline of INR2011) but thankfully since they are exes, that is not an issue. I am totally totally in love!

I am so excited! It's a drama that has enough of a story to warrant an extension.
