I apologize for the scattershot posts since I got back from Turkey, but I am still catching up on things, plus the weather is too nice ;)

Proper posts on Love Rain (still owns me) and Queen In Hyun's Man (perfection) will be done, I swear, weekend latest.

But for now, I bring you this adorableness to partially compensate for my neglect:

I have switched into rabid shipper mode already. Eeeeeee - the adorableness levels are through the roof. But that's the thing - whatever one thinks of his acting skills (which I am personally fine with), there is no denying Song Seung Heon has great chemistry with his leading ladies and Park Min Young is the most adorable thing on earth, who also sizzled like a sizzling thing with Lee Min Ho in City Hunter (and Yoochun in Sungkyunkwan Scandal).

I had no ships in the Japanese Jin, but I am pretty sure this won't be the case here! (But then, Korean Jin managed to get the cast of my dreams, so shipping was always in the cards).

Best of all? Jin starts on my birthday and even though I will be in Montreal, living it up, I can just pretend the airing is a special birthday present from the drama TPTB. How did they know I would love angsting, period-clothed SSH falling for an earlier incarnation of his dead (or comatose?) true love?

Now, off to watch episode 17 of K2H. I feel like such a freak, but while I like this drama and find it very solid, with some outstanding acting (even if the writing on anything resembling real politics is...the less said the better), but I am not obsessively in love with it, the way the entire drama fandom seems to be. It just doesn't have that extra something to make me truly care, even though worse dramas managed that. No idea why. I like it, like it a lot. I just wish I loved it.

It's so unpredictable whether something will move me, whether a story or OTP will possess me. I know what you mean about a solid story not completely winning your heart. Sometimes I've been surprised by how different my first impression of a drama can be from how I feel after becoming involved.

Yes, that happens to me all the time too.

So cute! I'm looking forward to that drama!

I agree. Mostly the plotting is a mess, but I like the characters, though the only one I rabidly love is Eun Shi-Kyung.

LOL....I'm dying because of SSH's hair.....is that a pony??....whatever it is it looks very fake....this pair is adorbs....even if I think its more of the oppa dongsaeng brand of adorable.....I'm not exactly looking forward to this drama considering who's writing it and am not entirely sure SSH will be able to bring it in the acting department but I'll definitely be checking it out for all the pretty...now I'm gonna go run off an check out more pics from the press conference

I do like SSH a lot. The man is georgeous but also seriously improved his acting - even though he is not in the good actor calibre yet, I like the fact that he puts effort into it.

Park Min Young is a cute woman but her nose job distracts me from her characters (I liked both SScandal and City Hunter but would have liked them both with different leads).

Plastic surgery is so prevalent in k-world, I stopped noticing even if it's something massive like Park Si Yoon :)

I'll be watching this for the supporting cast. I think it would have been interesting if Kim So Yeon would have accepted the gisaeng role but I guess she didn't want to play a small supporting character.
I did actually ship Jin with Nokaze, she was awesome (and Nakatani Miki was flawless)I cried my eyes out in the ep where Nokaze pleaded with Jin to save the courtesan who had taught Nokaze everything. When she passed away I was a mess.

I guess I keep seeing this as a v. different drama, which is fine because the original was flawless.

I guess I have to see it that way too ^^ I wonder if the Japanese version was aired in Korea. I guess the Korean pd were interested in the story because of the originals international success and praise.
