Even though I haven't seen ep 7 yet (still travelling, ergo haven't gotten to replies or other committments, sorry), have the preview for ep 8, which is the only spoiler I've allowed myself:

Somehow, against all odds, it is Love Rain that ended up being my favorite among the current crop, the one I obsess over and cannot wait for and dream about (the last one is pathetic but true).

I am almost as invested in In Ha and Yoon Hee, older but still loving, as I am in Jun and Hana, who are hitting all my romance tropes out of the park. Two very different sets of lovers (you can so see the young In Ha and Yoon Hee in their older selves) in one drama. What more can a girl ask for?

Well, i would like to offer my views if you do not mind.

1) I would say YoonA improves a lot. I also think she is wooden in her previous projects and i was worried. I would say she perform satisfactory for the 70s character. She improved a lot for modern character. I can definitely see her as an actress now. I won't say she will be getting drama awards but i find her character adorable.

2) In Ha thought that Yoon Hee is dead. As for why he married his wife, it has not been dealt with. I think he probably likes his wife as he is one of his close friends but i am sad to inform you that he definitely loves Yoon Hee. This is also the reason why Seo Jun ( Jang Keun Suk ) kind of hates his father and the thought of first love. I think he feels that his father is responsible for making his mother sad and tearing the family apart.

The reasons why they divorced i am not sure, perhaps there are more to it beside In Ha still thinking about Yoon Hee since In Ha's wife did mention that she has done a lot of reflections during the 10 years that they are apart. As for Yoon Hee, what i know is the husband is dead, and Ha Na ( YoonA) seems to like the idea of his mother still thinking about first love. So it depends on the upbringing. Since Ha Na and Seo Jun reacts totally differently towards the idea of their parents still thinking about their first love. Seo Jun's weird personality definitely is a product of broken family.

I would say give the drama a chance. The parents' story are more pure and a little sad. The first 4 eps are a little slow but it is needed to set the mood. I personally like ep 4 the most for the 70s part and i think if you missed the first 3 eps, you might not be able to appreciate ep 4 so much.

Seo Jun and Ha Na parts are fast and funny esp ep 5. The mood is also totally different. It is definitely digital age type of story. I know of people who skip first 4 eps and just jump into ep 5. If that is what it needs for them to like the drama, i would not stop them. They can still understand the story if they start at ep 5. And most actually start liking Love Rain just by watching ep 5. However i would not recommend it because when the parents' character appears, they will not feel for them and will not understand them and their feelings.
