Hi!

A number of people friended me recently, so being a nice person (and needing a desperate break) this is a post to welcome everyone! If you want to tell me stuff about yourself or your lj in this reply, I'd be quite grateful. In general, if you reply regularly, that's great and I will love you in a desperately platonic fashion! If you just want to lurk, that's OK too. I probably post enough for 5 people as is.

Also, this is a little note to everyone who friended me for Veronica Mars and BSG (or any other one particular thing) and might be ????? seeing posts on Victorian Bosom Heaving and Anime Hijinks (or random historical hotties). I have the attention span of a gnat and get obsessed by much too many things at once. I do still continue to post about BSG regularly (at least once a week), even if it sometimes gets drowned in Bollywood drool or French movie gush or whatever. As to Veronica Mars, it's on hiatus so I promise to restart my VM train when the show does.

Anyway, back to the regularly scheduled blabbering about 700 different things.

Oh, it's totally fine with any level of posting (well, except if I had someone who posted 10 times to each of my posts and the only thing he/she said was "OMG buy life insurance at wecheatyoublind.com")

I am going to try to check out the opening but there are two problems. One, my connections are kinda wonky when it comes to viewing video files and two, I am severely spoiled for the ep (as in, completely) so I am afraid any post of mine will be colored by that :P

Well, puppies are great when you get them, and it's all exciting, and you send pictures to all of your relatives who don't care, but then they turn into hundred pound dogs that terrify mailmen, UPS men, neighbors, and friends, thus ensuring you will never ever get packages again. They're still cute, though. In that large-enough-to-be-a-small-horse way.

*sigh* I kind of have this problem/condition/situation/predicament, too :P You seem to be cooler about it than I am. Some people are so disciplined and focussed about their obsesssions. There's one girl whose added me - her whole journal is about Veronica Mars, all her posts are about Veronica Mars whether it's about jokes, fic recs, spoilers..... It's why all of my websites were all created in the heat of the obsession and then I moved on and left it behind. Sometimes I'd go back, sometimes I wouldn't.

Especially about Harry Potter stuff, I try to hint: "There's no need to add my journal to your friends list - I always post stories to the relevant communities .." But people don't listen and add anyway ... then I have to wonder if they're thinking WTF when they get a Takesi Kaneshiro pic spam or some stupid blather about something else. :P

I think people's interests and LJ-lists are in a constant state of change, because I'm also one of the people whose interests changes from one week to another. My LJ started as a Bollywood review journal, but evolved to include all kinds of subject matter from everything I read or see nowadays to whatever I might want to ramble about when I feel like writing something.

Yes, I go through obsession period with one thing or another, but while I always will generally like obsession X, I'll generally post less about it once the first flush of craziness fades.
