Finished North & South
Jan. 20th, 2006 12:35 amOh. My. Guh. I am a puddle of goo on the floor.
Horrid Fanny, come to beat her brother when he is down.
The look on Thornton's face as he realizes the man on the platform was Margaret's brother. OMG. He looks like a boy.
And he went to Halston without a cravat and got a flower and she went to Milton and then she sees him in the window of a carriage in an opposite train and guuuuuh.
And he gives her the Halston flower and he is so smiling and tender and relaxed (for the first time ever) and she tries to talk about business propositions and she is all flustered and then SHE KISSES HIS HAND OMG. *is ded*
And then he kisses her and it's the hottest kiss EVER and he holds her face and someone hold me up because I am on the floor.
And then she leaves and he turns with his back because he thinks he's lost her but she gets her bag instead and he sees her reflection and his whole face lights up and he asks her if she is going with him with this totally incredulous, sexy, tender inflection and guuuuh. If I wasn't dead before I am now.
And then they get on the train and there is more smiling and touching and OMG the best BBC drama ever.
Must. Rewatch.
Coherency? What's that.

Date: 2006-01-20 03:55 pm (UTC)Re: Dear Old Mum. I wonder as she can't be the easiest person to live with. But I suppose she will me much nicer to Margaret than she's been because her two biggest problems were that she refused her son (and that's obviously over) and that she gallivanted with strange men at night (and either Margret or Thornton will set her straight the first time she brings it up). And of course, there is a huge trump of Margaret bringing all that money into the family and saving the business.
Because? I don't see her moving out except feet first. Luckily, the above plus the fact that Margaret isn't timid will get them through.

Date: 2006-01-20 08:01 am (UTC)I haven't even watched it yet and I feel like I'm watching it with you. I feel like saying: "OK now describe the whole series to me".
Kind of like: "Dangermousie's audiobook/transcription of North & South for the Visually Impaired. And Koala". :P
