I am about to start on ep 3 btw - I have been hoarding the episodes, and rationing them like a starving person hoarding food.

It's the only drama I am watching at the moment (though I do plan to check out Operation Proposal) and I love it with the fierce, unreasoning love I haven't felt for a drama since The Princess' Man. I love the ragtag group of friends, I love Soo Ah, I love the incipient romance, I love the way that it feels like every shoujo manga dream come true and yet, at the same time, gritty and oddly realistic.

GUUUH.

It's funny, I remember being so dismissive of hearing this was being made - I wasn't the world's biggest fan of its 'theme' predecessor Flower Boy Ramyun Shop and I thought this was going to be brain-dead, shallow and soulless. I know tVN is trying to establish a brand but they really should have picked a better name! This reminds me of these wonderful school/youth jdrama from some years back - Gokusen, Kingyo Club, Taiyu no Uta etcetc. And maybe my darling Hanadan - it's much more realistic but it owns my heart to the same degree. It really feels not Korean but Japanese.

Omg I cannot ration at all. I've just finished ep 6 and I'm a silly happy fool right now. I fell for them when she fell into his hands instead of Byunghee's ( and BH was so funny when he said "she was supposed to fall this way" lol). I love how they have certain "fated" connections but the drama doesn't scream in your face about it. Little cute things just happen along the way that make you support the idea. And they are so functional together! They are kind, caring, and supportive to the other person.
I also love Wookyung. She reminds me of Gong Hyojin's role in Ruler of Your Own World bcuz they're both spunky and devoted but umm doesn't get the guy. I think they kinda look similar too.

yesss. that moment was the exact moment that sold me on shipping it. that long intense stare they share when he looks up? goddamn. i really adore their chemistry and i love both individual characters too. i've seen hate for soo ah and the actress who plays her which doesn't really surprise me considering fandom tends to hate on the ladies for no good reason at all (ugh) but i love her and i think the actress is doing a fantastic job especially since she's still a rookie.

I think fangirls hate her because she's surrounded by all these guys fangirls like, but personally, I adore her. She's a cool character - a combo of strong and vulnerable. And the actress is doing a good job.

This drama now owns me. It's been steadily creeping up on me until it finally took control this week.
The youthfulness gets to me so much and the characters that truly feel like high school kids. I love the friendship that feels alive rather than just given to us by the writer.

And Ji hyuk. I love when he is goofy, awkward, fierce, and a leader. What an awesome character.

I've been watching them streaming and the quality has been very good.
But that's it! I want to move to a rooftop apartment! (not that I would find a cute/badass lead singer living next to me)
But yeah, this definitely reminds me of those great jdoramas, the firs season of Gokusen was awesome the others not so much .
Uwaaaah, those two are so cute. I love it when he has such a crush on her but he doesn't know how to express his feelings so he turns all grumpy. (I've turned into a rabid Soo Ah + Ji Hyuk shipper)

Wookyung, I feel sorry for her but it's better for her to realize that Ji Hyuk has never had feelings for her except big sister/friend but Do Il likes her and cute drummer is cute.

OMG Ms. Mousie, I totally agree. This scene made me obsessed with this OTP. The intense eye lock that they share in this scene and then the convo at the end of the episode where he looks at her as she leaves, makes him see what Byug hee sees in her. I think these two also remind me of the couple in Step up with the music as a background and the guy and girl from different backgrounds (even though Ji hyuk might actually come from money). Anyway I totally agree with the comments above that when he is jealous and turns gruff with her, I found that soo cute. I am not gonna spoil anything for you, but the last scene in ep 6 has been on repeat on my lap top for 2 days. I am requesting a post on that as soon as you are done watching it:)
