Cuidado con el Angel - eps 2-4

dangermousieIn between working, prepping for Baby Mousie's third birthday party, and entertaining both sets of our parents, I got time to sneak more of my newest obsession.
* Maite and William have insane, insane chemistry! No matter what they are doing on-screen (talking, fighting, staring, whatever), all I keep thinking is 'why are you not having sex against the wall yet?'
* Juan Miguel seems to be a human iceberg but not when he's around Marichuy - she really gets under his skin in a totally visceral way and he really loses any control - he becomes a total sucker for a hard luck story that shouldn't fool a cat (more about it below), he's devastated like a kid who learns Santa isn't real when he finds out she lied, he tracks her down in the middle of the slum to have a fight:
And pretty much throughout, he stares at her as if he wants to devour her (when he normally is Mr. Detachment). He even muses about how pretty her name is. It's adorable! It's like a kid with a crush.
* My favorite scene so far is the one in jail (where cops bust Marichuy as one of the people fighting in a nightclub) that goes something like this:
Juan Miguel: Delinquents, I want to help you!
Delinquents: Awww, man, ignore the square.
Marichuy: Hmmmmm, I know a sucker when I see one...
*comes closer*
Marichuy: Here, big guy, how about this story that should fool nobody? Yeah, I was there because I was delivering news to a waiter his wife was giving birth and my parents will beat me and I am a good girl let me out...
Juan Miguel: Braaaaaaain locking down.
Marichuy: Hmmmmm, maybe I should be clearer. Let me demonstrate my innocence by clinging to you in a full body hug.Mmmmmmmm...is that a six pack I can feel under that suit? Daaaaamn, I want to take this for a trial ride. Ooops, no that was me :P
Juan Miguel: Where do I put my hands? Panic!!!! Ice melting around heart...robot self does not know how to cope with human emotion overdose. Heeeeeeelp!
And of course, he buys her story and gets her out. Awwwwwwwww.
* I am glad to announce that even when he barely escaped deadly perils of the watery grave and is in ICU, Juan Miguel lets nothing interfere with his hair. It's just as perfectly styled as ever.
* OMG, the little girl who plays Juan Miguel's daughter is the most adorable thing ever! I just want to squish her and pinch her cheeks! I am entirely confused as to how he's old enough to have a 6-7 yr old kid (I know people in Mexico marry earlier than in the US so...hmmmm).
* And that is why I am glad Juan Miguel's wife is deeeeeeeeeead. I don't blame her for the marriage not working out - that is both their faults - sure, she was shallow and solipsistic but he's completely uninvested and looks like he'd rather be trimming his nails than be in her vicinity (I totally laughed when she was complaining to her Mom he never ever showed any passion for her and wondering if there is another woman. If this was not a telenovela, the answer would be 'dear, have you checked out your hubby's sexual preferences?' But since it is, it's just that nobody but heroine can melt his icy heart). Nope, it's because the wife is a horrible mother. WTF with putting a 6-yr-old (normal weight btw) on a strict diet so she won't become chubby later. WTF! Go eat a piece of cake at the wake, kid!
In other news, this is what kdramas need! Makeouts! Kind soul posted their wedding night on youtube. In 28 eps I shall be there!
