I am on episode 3 of Sealed with arapey Kiss and unless I started spontaneously hallucinating, our 'hero' (I use the term loosely) just told the heroine that if she wants him to stop bankrupting her best friend's family as some sort of "I am pissed at heroine, so I'll get to her that way" strategy, he is willing:
a. To make friend his mistress too, just as he did with heroine. Friend, he is sure, will be equally happy to save her father. And they can all move together as a threesome!!!!!
b. If she doesn't like that and wants her friend spared, he's fine, as long as in exchange heroine sleeps with some of hero's business friends who are into that type of thing.

At this point, I am just watching out of sheer 'wtf insanity will I see in my screen next' impulse. I mean, that beats a lakorn - even in those rapey heroes don't want to prostitute the heroine to other dudes for group rape sex!!!!!!

Yeah, yeah, I know he isn't really ruining friend's family (that is a coincidence) and doesn't really intend for heroine to sleep with others, but the FACT that he's telling her that and she (reasonably) believes he means it and he knows she believes it.

The thing is, if they took the heroine out of the story and concentrated on hero and his in-law craziness and business manips, it would be a pretty compelling drama about a bunch of psychos trying to one-up each other - I truly enjoy those scenes. But as it is, I looooong for heroine to get together with her sweet ex, and for hero to die die die die die die die after being tortured for a month slowly.

Date: 2012-01-14 11:16 pm (UTC)Tbh, leaving aside the merits of the hero as a person, Hawick is doing a pretty phenomenal job acting in this - I may be repulsed by the character but he's also fascinating and very well-acted (and from what I can tell, very much outside Hawick's normal repertoire). But still! I may approve of the actor's acting chops and still want his character to die a fiery death.
I shall cleanse my palace by rewatching the trailer of Ru Yi, his upcoming drama with rl-gf Yang Mi - not only does it look gorgeous, his character actually appears sweet and awesome in that one.

This is what making me so ragey I have goosebumps: the bestie did nth caring towards heroine's sex slavery and is envious of her 'clothes' and blings. AND heroine has no problem with that as well, oh, how could we have GUESSED?!?!
Most of the time she looks 'smiley' unless rapist!hero is in the house. We witnessed the trauma, and we're told it's been going on for a while, we are disgusted watching afar yet she's falalala-ing like any normal college girl UNLESS she's reminded of said trauma when hero is pressing her against mattress/ about to mount her. You really can't tell us this is a suffering ingenue still holding onto her moral compass yet giving us this instead.
Ying Er is very healthy looking by drama standard, Hawick is not storky at all and I was fully expecting her to make their bedchamber into a WWF ring, if they r throwing on the mud, i honestlythought I'll get some nasty ball hurting kicks every time.
