Rebound cuteness

I liked the fluffy cuteness that was Rebound ep 1. I still don't think Aibu Saki and Hayami Mokomichi have much chemistry (remember Zettai Kareshi?) but in this type of drama it's fine.

The whole 'is she going to stay thin or gain her weight back? will the cute chef like her?' are about as substantial as a cake, but makes for a nice palate cleanser before I embark on a jdrama angstfest together (I feel the pull of Smile! And I remembered I never finished Innocent Love so...)

I found the way Rebound dealt with weight and female body image facetious and rage-inducing, so I stayed away. I dunno, Asian dramas get messed up when they try to deal with capital 'I' issues.

OH NO, ANGSTFEST! Sure I can't persuade you into watching the fluffier TWdramas floating around? (Then again, I'm on a Sherlock/Leverage/My Little Pony binge.)

It's a newer cartoon that plays on The Hub, currently on it's second season, I believe. My daughter is hooked and I've watched several episodes - it's pretty cute & if I didn't have so much other stuff going on, I'd probably watch it, too.

At first I thought this may have some potential, but the way Japan goes about weight issues is seriously messed up, so after the 4th I buried it, with a one minute silence for Mokomichi. I'm curious though what you'll think of the whole thing.

I might dump it, tbh. It's cute one ep in but nothing that gets me obsessed.
