dangermousieI can't watch Taira no Kiyomori as it's not subbed yet, but it left me with a major taiga craving. Taiga of choice? Gou, starring Ueno Juri as a titular character, a princess who survived the Nobunaga-Tokugawa conflict and ended up marrying Tokugawa Hidetada.
One episode in, and I really like it. The colors and the costumes are gorgeous, the characters interesting, and I have a highly inappropriate thing for Nobunaga because he's played by Toyokawa Etsushi. This is a very woman-centric taiga, which may either appeal or turn you off. So far, I am enjoying it to bits, secure in the knowledge TnK will provide me all the blood and battles I crave.
