sundae_sweet for this one. I could never resist any drama which could be described as a 'live-action shounen manga.' (See more on this drama in her tag).
So we have Garo, all about Makai Knights, who battle 'horrors' i.e., demons. More importantly, we have our OTP.
She: aspiring painter. He: demon-slayer with a nifty mecha armor, a hobby of practicing with his sword, and with absolutely no social skills whatsoever. When they first meet, does he say hello? politely ignore her? Nope, he chokeholds her because he thinks she's a demon!
She gets thrown at him in fights!
But even though he is supposed to kill her because she's been contaminated by demon blood, he doesn't. (That armor could be...interesting...in bed :P)
Instead he carries her home and says things which, for him, must be an equivalent of ten trucks of red roses.
Sure, sure, you only need her as bait. If you believe that, I have a set of mecha armor to sell you.

Date: 2012-01-04 04:13 pm (UTC)My 2 fails are getting back at me : Playful Kiss and Nagareboshi : I want to see a jdrama where the patient is trolling her doctor, preferable an underaged patient and smarter than Oh HaNi - she had the almighty MD in the house from inception of being MD till he becomes one, yet PK failed at "swoon till you die kind of romance" and Nagareboshi failed that case because when she was major and READY he was trolling her sister in law - it wasn't exactly true but the suggestion was there, enough of a turn off for me. More she ended as Oh HaNi - going to be a nurse coz you know he might be around or because she was traumatized enough to realize the need of a good nurse - my sensation was that it was the first case. And I don't mind a timejump - but I want her to give him a run for his money.
3rd fail was like A taste of honey- Mitsu no Aji - the incest suggestion turned me off also the crazy secondary female lead was a bigger turn off - jdrama Gods, Please I have Me Too FLower if I really want to see a nutcase secondary girl.
These days I've seen an awesome Secondary lead - Han Go Eun in Bodyguard with CHa Seung Won and Song Il Kook - I shipped her with both of them - she was more awesome than Kim NaNa - I couldn't imagine or believe that klala land actually made a competent female bodyguard.
So if over the rainbow something like awesome girl trolls her doctor exists( or at least a short list) please teach me Mousie :)
Garo is already on my watching list, only that my little dwarf is dancing in my brains begging for the thing described above.
Later edit: In fact I hope that my dwarf would be satisfied if I find something with a 17-18 girl and a 25+ guy. C'est la tangente que je préfère (1997 with George Corraface) was too close to Lolita - something that I didn't like: 40 something guys with 14+ girls is too sick even for me. In a way I think that Ouran High School Host Club uncannon ship and chemistry between Kawaguchi Haruna and Daito Shunsuke is another dwarf that needs to be satisfied.
