From their finding each other, to his bandaging her feet, to her explaining why she's mute, to his horror finding out it's because of him, to their clutching each other to give and receive comfort, OMG.









































































































































































































This is going to sound weird, but this is the depth of emotion, grief, joy, and catharsis I wanted from Dae Gil's and Un Nyun's reunion in Chuno and didn't get - Chuno chose to go a different way narratively, and it was fine - but in an odd way this feels like compensation.

Actually, it's not weird at all. Haven't watched Chuno, but everyone I know who did (on DCgalls mostly) said the same thing, after ep. 12 as a matter of fact. For fans of Dae Gil, watching Soyi risk her life just to find out whether Ddolbok was alive was reportedly very healing.

Hope you have time for ep. 14, because a) it's impossible to stop at ep. 13, and b) everything that came before, it was for meant for ep. 14.

I am in the middle of 13 now and have to pause it repeatedly because seriously, the intensity is too much to take in huge chunks.

I am glad I am not alone re: Dae Gil in Chuno comparisons. I was fine with the way the story in Chuno ended up going - I was a rabid Tae Ha/Un Nyun shipper in fact, but that was something that I wanted for Dae Gil and I think that if it chose to stick with DG/UN, it would have been equally and maybe even more powerful, so it was like seeing a 'what could have been'.
