Me Too Flower ep 8 and my dilemma

So, currently airing kdramas I am following in some fashion (first number is number of eps I've seen, second number is number of eps aired). In order of my obsession, from most to least.

OK, if your math skills are the same as mine, that is 8 dramas. I cannot do it. Seeing that I am going to give up either Padam Padam or Tree only on pain of bodily harm, and I've come too far with Me Too Flower and The Empress (well, not really, but I am addicted) to stop, I guess I have to decide how to deal with the rest.

What's Up is being subbed (but very slowly), so you can probably wait for that one. ...and I can't help you with the others, although I'm saving Thousand Day Promise for a marathon. (because apparently I am a masochist)

Flower Boy Ramyun Shop is light and delicious, and I'm saving it for the days when I really need a pick-me-up. (I'm also holding off on Tree With Deep Roots until I finish The Princess' Man, because I am way behind on that one and I cannot do two heartbreaking sageuks at once. Also I am working 10-hour-days, 6 days a week, and have even less time than I have mental energy.)

But anyone who tries to get between me and the next episode of Padam Padam had better be wearing some protective padding.

You and me. You and me both. I wish I could have the whole thing to gobble in a sleepless marathon and end up a total emotional mess.

I watch Flower Boy in between other things, when my brain is too tired to process any degree of complexity but I am still conscious and want something cute.

TPM is wonderful, enjoy! And yes, I can watch any amount of contemporaries at the same time but I can't manage more than one sageuk at a go. No idea why.

Oh, yes on the marathoning--but I absolutely refuse to wait until more episodes are out to marathon. Instead I will probably watch it all over again when it's done airing, likely dragging my friends in to watch it with me. :)

I was about to say that sageuks are more emotionally taxing for me, but then I remembered that I literally could not sleep all night after episode 19 of City Hunter, so I take that back. :P Maybe sageuks just demand more brain-power--all the bearded old guys are hard to tell apart and it takes me much longer to remember the names and positions and relationships! Sorting out all the palace officials and political entanglements in one sageuk at a time is bad enough--I can't deal with two. (I did manage a rewatch of Sungkyunkwan Scandal at the same times as I was watching The Princess' Man, but since it was a rewatch that doesn't quite count.)

Thanks. Schedule should improve after this weekend--it's a temporary doc review job, so both exhausting and boring, but I like being able to work. :D

I am counting the days until subs for eps 3 and 4 and trying to stay unspoiled, which is very rare for me.

Re: sageuks. True. Especially since I am a Korean history novice.

Good luck with doc review! I have some friends and family who used to do that, and it was exhausting.

I'd save What's Up? and A Thousand Days Promise until they are finished or half way over. Simply because you haven't watched that many episodes yet and they are being subbed slowly. Flower Boy Ramyun Shop is also being subbed at a medium speed - save the last few episodes for a fun weekend marathon after the holidays.

So, that leaves five dramas. Keep your top three and watch them as subs come out. Save The Empress and marathon the last half. Personally, I watch A Thousand Kisses for the WJ/JM couple and fast forward through anything that doesn't have to do with the couple - so an episode takes me about 15-20 minutes. You could do that with ATK, unless you like the other couple. Then, I saw marathon six episodes every other week.

Yeah, I will probably wait with ATK and WU. 1000 Days is almost done so I'll save it for Xmas break. I might dump Flower Boys - it's just not doing it for me.

I'm having the same issue with Flower Boys - it's just not doing it for me anymore. The leads have great chemistry, but I don't feel that they are truly in love. I don't think they would be miserable with out one another. And, I kind of ship the lead girl with secondary guy, because he has a more mature out-look, despite his innocent actions. As of now, I'm just reading dramabean's recaps.

My problem is I am not emotionally invested at all. They could all move away from each other next ep and I wouldn't care. Sure, JIW and LCA have great chemistry but I have yet to be convinced they are two souls in the same body. I'd think the most feasible scenario for them would be to have a hot, impossible fling for a few months, get it out of their systems and move on. Hardly the stuff of great romances. I also don't think they are a good fit.

But I am not into the secondary guy either - I just don't find him interesting and I also don't get why he's so fixated on the heroine.

I would agree with you about just not caring. There are two episodes left, and I just can't see the two leads needing and truly wanting to be together forever. A fling, yes. A love for the ages, no.

I'm watching about 5 dramas right now but i've put most of them on hold whilst i go through finals week. What's Up and Flower Boy Ramyun I'm hoarding until all subs have come out. The Musical only comes out once a fortnight so I'm good with that. Tree with Deep Roots I'm going to continue after finals when I've managed to scrape together the last of my intelligence. But with Me Too, Flower nothing is going to stop me from watching this.

Also I need to finish TPM, Tales of a Gisaeng & Warrior Baek Dong Soo....so much dramas so little time!

Episode 13 of The Musical just came out and there are only 16 episodes, so it's nearly finished. Haru2subs is slowly subbing them but I'm too impatient to want and just stream it off dramacrazy every second Tuesday when the English subs is released.

Thank you for giving the nod at my drama list =D Also it's great fun reading your caps and comments. Especially, when we're watching the same ones. I feel less silly for getting to emotionally attached to some characters.

Just skip Thousand Kisses....especially if you don't care for any characters other than those of Kim So Eun and Ryu Jin...they are still adorable but we don't get a lot of them after abt ep 12 or so and the drama has long gone into crazy makjang territory, complete with slapping and water throwing in like every other episode..also has at least 4 annoying characters(one second lead, one to-be-MIL, one to-be SIL, and SIL)...sadly all female

I love a Thousand Kisses, but it is freakishly long and best watched in stages. Shelve it for now.

Also I know A Thousand Days' Promise is your type of drama but I am allergic to everything about it and can you handle that angst on top of Tree and Padam Padam?

I suggest drop A Thousand Kisses - one of the worst last two-thirds of a drama after a really promising and interesting beginning I have seen. Me Too Flower is a keeper - I love them . . .
