Getting my hands on the 1.5gb version of ep 2 was very much worth it because this drama is so gorgeous, it begs to be watched in high resolution.






Is he an angel? I tend towards yes...






But sometimes he really is a kid...




I told you, it's like a movie.




Han Ji Min's character. I love how emotionally closed-off she is, understandably with her background. She is also deeply hurt, in a very quiet, undemonstrative way.




This scene. I've rewatched it five times already and it gets me every time.










And so does this one! For a big guy, he's so endearingly, oddly (or perhaps not oddly, seeing his background) tentative. On a shallow note, lady, it's not every day one gets to be in close proximity to JWS' miraculous abs - take a peek. (Side note - all the scars on his torso are, I presume, from prison fights?)

I liked ep 2 better than 1, mostly coz I've settled my nerves in too high an expectation. I think some plots did not delivered as written, and I love your word in describing HJM's acting so far: undemonstrative, it's what exactly drawing me to her character. I think she's doing the best job so far out of the leads.

On the flip side of coin, I find both the guys overreaching. Somehow JWS' approach on illustrating his character comes off as superficial for me and veering towards the OTT side. I was snapped out of it when at times I can't see someone still so outwardly glaringly angry after 16 years imprisonment of injustice. imo it should reside deeper in a more painful dark place than all over the physical.

I don't know - his attitude worked for me. You can only be internally so angry only for so long before you get enough ulcers to die. Honestly, if the DA et al left him alone, I can see him setting down and not even dealing with trying for revenge and enjoying a somewhat normal life.

But I understand MMV and all that.

ETA: He does come across as a little unhinged to me, but I don't mind that.

Btw, is it just me or did Han Ji Min did something with her face - I almost didn't recognize her.

I'm nitpicking, but I imagine 16 yrs is plenty of time to not be snapped by anything and have issues thought over ad nausum, either he internalizes all the injustice and holds a mean grudge on a constant calm scary prowl or as u said must have had long moved on and set his mind on a somewhat normal...and with that I expect a much weathered, honed demeanor, him being so unhinged is neither here nor there, for me.

And I think Writer Noh is better than writing too many coincidences already 2 eps in. U know it shocked me when I'm put off with too much nikkid fanservice, her material doesn't need it. I appreciate the OTP's chemistry, it's clicking, but when I see JWS' lips sticking out instead of the make belief of it being mere accidental while bumping HJM repeatedly yet feigned innocent on the train, I'm bugged. I dunno, the guy could carelessly wipe off sweats with ur entire wife beater, but if he was standing an inch fr my car window, yet the scene was meant to be yet another unintentional 'padam padam', I'm peeved, even if dude was JWS.

I'm still not absolutely sure HJM did sth because I can sorta explain it to myself by her losing every ounce of her babyfat face-wise. It may not be normal, but I didn't see anything too drastic other than maybe sculpting her jawline and and few slashes around the eyes. If she did, it must be a bit here and there since Resurrection. I've overcome the shock of not recognizing her and squint some before and after pics after watching Detective K.

Some peeps r pondering if KimBum did some work, actually, and same token, I can still believe it's a lot of face-specific wt lost.
