it's not very funny, admittedly, for a show advertised as a sitcom, and there is a bit of fluff, and the first few episodes are a bit dull, and krystal's character is annoying 90% of the time, but it is sweet and very human and there are so many beautiful otps? the episodes are fairly short (~22 minutes?) so you could breeze through them on a rainy week.

plus, there's seo ji-seok from gloria playing ragehead gym teacher who is a lovesick dork at heart? eeeee his otp is the sweetest darned thing

YES! Seo Ji-seok! Have you seen OB/GYN? He plays the second lead, but in a much different way than any other second lead I've ever seen. I LOVE him in that drama.

I am going to start The Princess' Man in about a week! I hope it's as good (or that I have as much fun watching it) as City Hunter.
Also thinking about watching Warrior Baek Dong Soo but I think I need a light rom-com-y drama because all the ones I've watched so far and plan to watch are kind of heavy.

Re: Warrior. It's decent pulpy fun but be warned that pretty much everyone (a) wrong-shipped (b) was annoyed at the ending, with this one.

I'm trying really hard not to add to my list of dramas to watch but it's darn hard these days. So, I'm sort of rotating them, LOL!

I'm actively following only TwDR and Vampire Prosecutor. But.. I'm also watching 'Just You', my first 100+ epi daily drama which I'm sort of obsessed with. It's not subbed and probably never will but that's proved not to be an obstacle. ^^ It's nothing earth shattering but plenty of cute and I adore the OTP. The non-shipper in me is aghast. ;P

Ojakgyo Borhters I'm watching in chunks and the rest whenever I can find some time. Mostly I just wait for a good amount of subbed epis to be available and then mainline those, one drama at a time. The end of this drama year is kinda crowded....

LOL! I sort of 'impressed' myself too. It's pretty easy to follow though as it's a family drama with nothing too heavy going on. At least for now. A lot of the dialog is beyond me so I'm missing all sorts of interesting bits I'm sure but I still seem to get most of what's going on. Suh Joon Young is utterly adorable as the male lead. Another one of 'my young'uns' is shaping up nicely. ;P

I'm not actively watching any of the k-dramas right now. Like timescout above me, I'm also watching Ojakgyo Brothers in small chunks. I watch five episodes or so a week, whenever I'm in the mood.

I'm not sure if I'm going to watch Padam Padam. I've read really bad reviews about the first episode on twitter. I'm thinking about putting it on hold until it finishes airing. I don't want to watch a Noh Hee Kyung drama if it doesn't feel like a Noh Hee Kyung drama.

I love the writer/pd team behind Fermentation Family. I'll definitely be checking it out when it's uploaded to dramafever.

I'll get to Me Too Flower and back to A Thousand Days' Promise (4 episodes behind on it) one of these days...

Outside of Tree With Deep Roots, the only k-drama I've tried recently is the 2-hour pilot episode of TEN. It got great reviews on DCgall, and I was tempted into trying my first cable drama. The pilot was indeed excellent, and could have worked just as well in theater (was conceived as a movie and filmed as such), but the procedural is not for the faint of heart (regretted watching it at night). Reactions to eps. 2 & 3 have been more mixed, but if the season as a whole is solid/decent, I might give it another try. Each ep. works as a stand-alone, so I'm not in a great rush.

Lights and Shadows looks and sounds fun--I like the cast, like the idea, love period pieces, but too soon to tell if it's worth a commitment (and in this case, it's 50 eps.). Ditto with Padam Padam and Fermentation Family. Could always give the first eps. a try, like I did with TwDR and TEN, but the reactions have been more muted with these dramas, so waiting to see how they pan out.

Ironically, the hottest character/actor right now (rivaling the cast of TwDR) is the male lead in Brain, Shin Ha-Gyun. The drama itself sounds at best average, but his character has become like a sex symbol on DCgall and (from what I understand) everywhere else. But any temptation to check it out has been squelched by the description of the female lead doctor as a complete incompetent.

Btw, not sure if this is the equivalent of a Christmas come early for you, but at least one news outlet reports it's official, they've cast Jo In-Sung and Ha Ji-Won for The King (the inter-Korea drama from the makers of Beethoven Virus).

Nothing can get me to watch a med drama but that is certainly entertaining.
