I finished ep 6 of FBRS (yes, yes, I know I am very behind) and I don't find this drama meta-able but it is hugely fun. The chemistry continues insane, the drama is both wacky and emotionally touching, but my main thought is...Jung Il Woo is ridiculously gorgeous. He also looks aristocratic with those cheekbones, that stillness, that whole look. Mmmmm.

I am sure it is no surprise that my favorite scenes involved the interaction between the putative OTP. This made me LOL so much - Chi Soo in a nightclub imagining Eun Bi as he saw her, only with sexy music and a pole. LOLOLOLOLOL. Also, he's so pretty!

Oh, how I love this scene - she keeps verbally throwing these things at him (wrongly, but she doesn't know) and his face. Self-possession and privilege or not, but he is still so very young. And then all that anger and taking that job to be around her. Mmmmm.

But my new true love is Me Too Flower. It's not really like anything I've seen before - off-kilter and fractured and charming and hopeful and threaded with darkness and just...

Is it just me, or is YSY channeling young Song Il Gook here?

Obligatory shower scene. Btw - is it just me or is YSY's character utterly messed up under that charming exterior?

I have no idea what their relationship is but it appears beyond complicated.

Guuuuuh.

I love Seo Hye Rim!

There is something oddly lovely and fragile under LJA's character tough mask. I love her.

My OTP!

I also started Mackerel Run, mainly to get a glimpse of the young Lee Min Ho, and holy moley, but does he freakishly look like younger version of Lee Dong Wook here:

They could be brothers!

But only in some angles. At others, he's still very much different...

Me too flower is so melodramatic sometimes that I just end up laughing through the scene. cause otherwise it just feels so awkward and embarrassing XD I cant handle all this serious shit! But yeah some of it though is just hilariously over the top for me. That said I am interested in the characters enough that I dont wanna give it up yet, though it'll probably get unbearably emo soon enough. its already past the humorous stage. Also every time i see the actress for park hwa i am like OMG SONG JOO, I LOVE YOU SONG JOO, YOUR SO PRETTY AND COOL. I AM GLAD YOU ARE NOT DEAD. NOOO DONT CRY SONG JOO, SONG JOOOOO. lol. She was my fave thing about capital scandal so seeing her again even in a very different role is great. I still find it a little hard to buy yoon si yoon's "manly intensity" moments in the drama, but he's pretty to look at so i aint complainin. As it stands I enjoy flower boy ramyun shop much more. What can I say I am a sucker for a rom com XD. I think despite the ridiculous and dissapointing last third of the drama, i loved secret garden's balance between intensity and hilarity. it managed to do both really well and without sacrificing too much of the other....until the last few episodes lol. but at least it had a happy sweet ending.

You and me have pretty different tastes in dramas - last third of SG was my favorite :) I enjoy FBRS but nowhere nearly as much as I do MTF. (It's a miracle I like FBRS because normally for me, romcoms = public enemy).

Haha yeah we do. But we've liked some of the same stuff. and if it wasnt for you I'd never have thought to check out Capital Scandal which was AHmazing. Its funny I really got sucked into the dramatic parts of that one, and if anything i wanted more war drama and political intrigue and less romance and goofiness lol. but man it was pretty tiring, i was so glad to be done at the end and that it was a hopeful ending. i cried so much man! also enjoyed the drama in sungkyunkwan scandal, that drama was mostly light. did you hear about the new drama based on another novel by that same author? Its not my usual genre but i loved SKKS so much i'm willing to give it a whirl.

Oh so very much.

I think this show deserves a lot more love.

It looks like even Lee Min-ho got plastic surgery. He obviously had a nose job. Is it a little disconcerting that I can't name 10 Korean Actors/actresses off the top of my head that didn't have anything done?

I was thinking the exact same thing here...there's definitely a nose job there and maybe some more too...this makes me kinda sad even though i do think that it has done wonders for him...for his looks as well as his career...i think i'm more sad about the fact that someone as talented as him didn't really make it big until after he got that work done

I am the last person to answer this because I never notice this stuff - people had to tell me Han Chae Young got work done :)

But it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yep, I am behind on FBRS myself, still on ep 1, I think I may marathon it at the end of its run.

I am really enjoying MTF. I'm almost all caught up and every single person in this show is suffering from some hidden trauma. Dang! Even so, I'm liking the interactions so far.

P.S. I love how the neighbour/business partner is styled! That floor length grey dress above is l.o.v.e.
