I do these periodically when I have pretty caps and no commentary. Enjoy.

A lot of people had a problem with the ending not giving us more/explicit Nana/Yoon Sung happiness but I loved the open tentative hopefulness of it all - it would have been very out-of-joint to give us makeouts-and-babies ending (much as I would have gobbled it if given) after the intensity and darkness that went before. Instead we just have the two of them, and love and peace (oh, I was so happy to see peace in YS' eyes) and the dark/light symbolism (she's always been his angel) and hope for new beginning and happiness without shadows. In a revenge drama whose protagonist has been groomed to kill his own father, that is more than enough.

Coming up: SKKS, Ouran and Princess' Man cap dumps :)

Oh, and I am about to start Tree with Deep Roots.

Oh god I absolutely LOVED the ending! It was perfect imo and I think it really fit with the entire drama. I mean, I was half expecting YS to be dead and it being a Mawang sort of ending (which I loved as well but again that ending fit perfectly with the drama while I think an ending like that wouldn't really fit with City Hunter) but instead we get YS alive with Nana there. And the symbolism of this scene! She's walking through this walkway with clear glass and sunshine in white and he's walking through one obscured by trees and stuff in black and then when she goes over to his side, he's actually on the other side with the clear glass and sunshine and I mean that just says everything doesn't it? Or at least that's how I interpreted the scene and I really really loved it for that. When he was stuck in the that hellish jungle in the Golden Triangle, the picture of Nana was that one hopeful "normal" thing in his life and I thought this scene was such an awesome parallel. And a make out session, imo would be kind of awkward too. Basically I could meta about this drama and this scene forever but you pretty much nailed it :D

Also here's hoping LMH's terrible drama choices are over and now he continues doing totally awesome dramas City Hunter.

I want LMH do a sageuk next.

But yes, I loved the symbolism too - she was always the one good, sane, loving thing in his life, and now he can finally join her in the sun.

I also loved that he never really reconnected with the President in a "OMG you are my Daddy let's hang out" kind of way. It takes more than blood to make a father (though his adopted father was even worse, ugh).

Oooh LMH in a sageuk would be so good! Now I'm wishing he was cast in that new sageuk based on the writer of SKKS.

Yes ita! I think to him Jin Pyo will always be his father. He was a horrible father (seriously that man was such a monster) but that's all YS had. I just can't see President and YS having a regular old father-son relationship. And if the drama crammed that in their I it'd be really unrealistic. Honestly the finale was perfect and all the characters got what they deserved imo. I can't imagine why anyone is dissatisfied.

Whee. :) Good time to start the series, though no guarantee you'll love it. But if you make it up to the latest ep., you'll be paid off handsomely. Feels like it's entering a new chapter.

I remember when people said that he was a ghost at the end. It got me so pissed off, I refuse to believe it! I mean sure, it makes sense, with the mother and uncle packing and her acting so depressing, but I still refuse to believe it.

The PD clarified he wasn't a ghost but a real person :)
