OBSESSION ALERT!!!!!

My month-long drama slump is FINITO. What has replaced it is obsession. Obsession means (a) watching episodes obsessively (b) capping (c) scouring the net for subs/pics/spoilers/forlorn hope of more eps prior to destined air time (d) fantasizing about the drama while doing things like washing the dishes.

No, I don't mean my new obsession is the gorgeousness that is Jung Il Woo (well, not entirely). It is, instead, the drama with the gloriously ridiculous name of Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. A highly appropriate name as I would slurp Jung Il W...OK, enough of that, subconscious!

It's funny and snappy and as delicious as the best bown of ramyun you ever had. OK, OK, I will stop with the puns. JIW is the only actor in this one I am familiar with and he certainly is crucial - he is good-looking, sure, but he has serious acting chops (I will love him forever for Return of Iljimae and he was the best thing in 49 Days, a drama I have rage issues with). He makes a character who so easily come across as bratty and privileged and turns him into a likeable rogue who I adore.

You know who else I adore? The heroine:



She is v.v.v.v. awesome.

The whole thing has a hugely Hello My Teacher vibe and I adore that drama. I am going to hell, right?

Also, is it just me, or do two of JIW's friends really channel Jung Yong Hwa and Jung Geun Seuk respectively? I loled.

Yes, yes. As soon as I saw the synopsis for this drama I knew I had to have it. But you know how much I hate waiting for subs, and just waiting in general with airing dramas, so this is on my "must watch when half done" list. Cannot. Wait.

Thank goodness! I was beginning to feel alone in my Flower Boy Ramyun Shop obsession. No one besides Dramabeans was blogging about it, and even Soompi has been relatively quiet...But it's so good! And we haven't even met the second lead yet!

Have you seen ep 2 already (i.e., have you seen Crazy Chicken)?

I skimmed ep 2 because I need subs :)

I think it's quiet because of no easily accessible subs yet plus being on cable, but it's a shame, it's such a breath of fresh air drama.

I really need to find some free time this weekend. I want to watch a couple of the new dramas (especially this one), but then there's also needing to run through some more TPM. I'm so behind on the important things...
