Is there any wonder I fell for kdramas?
Sep. 18th, 2011 09:12 pmThis clip from "Vorvrashenya Mushketyorov" (Return of the Musketeers - apparently about Musketeer offspring) is from a movie made when I was already an adult, but it's pretty typical of movies of my childhood. I am kinda obsessed with the song (and the singer/actor Anton Makarsky, who was in Russian soap Bednaya Nastya, that I was obsessed with years ago) but I am totally LOLing how this fits all my current narrative kinks - angsty dude in period clothes singing super-angsty love song as he is tied up and is about to be blown up with his cross-dressing lady love.
I was doomed to love drama from birth, apparently.

The blinding scene is forever etched in my memory.
Looks like it was a German production, which highly surprises me, probably filmed in Hungary, based on crew names.
Hah, in my childhood memories it was always a Russian series. But I must have been like 6-7 when it aired here. I only read the book when I was well past 10.
