Has anyone checked out The Musical with Gu Hye Sun and Daniel Choi? The trailer looks cute (and GHS looks like she toned down the mugging, thank God! Though she's still sporting a hairdo from hell).

I plan to watch the first ep and see.

Also, found this awesome MV for one of my favorite drama couples, Giant's Min Woo/Mi Joo.

I didn't have much time last night, but I watched ten or fifteen minutes of it. I'm not sure about it yet, because it's been a log of singing and not so much story, but I'm going to give it a whole episode and see what I think. Hopefully this weekend.

seen episode 1 and skimmed through 2. i almost always dislike most first episode of most dramas. episode 1 was slow for me. but episode 2 gets better. loads better. it's not an instant grab, but there's promise there.

Min wooooooo \O/ Oh God I need some Min Woo right NOW >_<
Since I'm only at ep 40 I just spoiled myself a few scenes but .... it was worth it, and the next expisodes are looking good! I can"t wait for Min Woo and Mi Ju to meet again! Min Woo is self-awesome but they're so much more awesome when they're together! Thanks for the mv!
As for The Musical I haven't checked it out yet but it's on my "to watch" list :)

I've never been a fan of Gu Hye Sun, but my love for Daniel Choi and musicals won out, so I had to give this one a try.

The first episode was a bit slow, and I was tempted to fast-forward a bit - but I really like the set-up, and the scenes Daniel Choi and GHS shared were some of the strongest. However (and maybe this is just me) but I don't think GHS has any singing ability at all. Which could either put an interesting spin on the typical underdog story (maybe in the absence of stage-talent, her dream will adapt to composing/song writing instead); or it'll prove to be a casting debacle, and leave me plugging my ears and fuming that they're pretending she has talent. Right now, it looks like it could go either way, lol.

And I totally agree about the hair! She was so pretty in the beginning when it was long, and then they went and chopped it off into that hideous male cut. I seriously wanted to cry. On the plus side, at least it made sense in the context of the story... but I still wish they'd used a wig or something instead.

Sorry, but I have a horrific allergy to GHS. Can't make myself watch her. And I've seen Pure 19. The.whole.thing. :)

As for MW/MJ? I shipped them like crazy in Giant. Thank goodness, because no matter how much I wanted to ship the main OTP I could never care one way or another about them.

o man, gu hye sun, why do you keep doing shit like this to your hair. >8/ i'll probably wait for the general verdict on this one but i don't have high hopes for it tbh. gu hye sun is totally adorable as a person but she seems to be one of those actresses who has too many forms where she doesn't work and only a very limited few where she does. i only really care about park kiwoong and ock juhyun outta this cast, lol.

Okay, watched three episodes in rapid succession and am IN TOTAL LOVE. It's actually quite depressing if you think about it really, since I figured out only afterward that the show only comes out once a week due to weird scheduling - I'm not accustomed to such an excruciating wait, since subs are optional for me + it's uncommon for me to get this invested THIS quickly.

But yes, you'll be glad to hear this drama is very refreshing. It's definitely grounded in a kind of realism you don't often see in kdramas, even with the same character tropes- I actually hadn't realized just how predictable/boring the average kdrama was getting for me until this one came along and just kept on pleasantly surprising me with how the characters interacted/were written. Plus everybody has oodles of chemistry with everybody else. I'm not sure what else exactly has gotten me so smitten but either way, it's definitely worth checking out.

I actually really liked ep 1 and after reading some spoilers @ soompi couldn't help myself and watched ep 2 w/o subs.
I admit to absolutely disliking GHS (I've said this before: those mouth gymnastics on BBF made me hate Jan di... such a disgrace to the great character Makino was...)Aaaaaaaaand back to my point: loved both eps. Choi Daniel is such a sweetie pie!
Loved it, loved it & will keep on loving it -hopefully- till the end.
