Date: 2011-09-15 02:17 pm (UTC)I think HK dramas are the most realistic and they have the longest history in asian showbiz. Everyone chinese person and their mother/father/grandmother in southeast asia grew up with them as a kid XD So me too probably, although I get tired of the recycling of actors. Tdramas are too crazy and crappy nowadays. The mandarin pronunciation in Sdramas are too painful to listen but the plot can be good. Kdramas for angst, Jdrama (the good ones) have the more profound plots, Mainland makes the better period dramas. So that covers all basis for me. Haha!!
I hate a hero who dies and is dim, so rich angsty chaebol for me, whatever chaebol means XD

Date: 2011-09-17 01:18 pm (UTC)I voted for procedural in the genre question, but frankly most of my favourite dramas have been a mix of genres - like Chosun Police 3; period, mystery and a healthy dose of romance and angst! Or Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I guess I'm just greedy.
