Smallville: Slashers' Paradise Found

aliterati and I had a marvelous evening watching 12 episodes of first season of Smallville. Well, we ff most of it, i.e. the not Clark/Lex parts. It's amazing how fast this goes. She agrees with me that this is one of the slashiest things ever and we had a lot of fun discussing Lex's phallic, phallic cars, the details of when Clark and Lex started making out, the fact that Clark/Lex are definitely OTPing what with the mutual rescuing and the long looks and the visits, and the "hit me with a hammer" etc etc.

Lex is definitely the slashiest character who isn't out openly yet, what with the pink and plum and purple suits, phallic cars, his obsession with the billiard table balls, his drinking mineral water out of itty bitty bottles, and the way he saunters.

Oh, we also agreed on the fact that Shimmer ep had to be the slashiest thing ever, what with Clark coming into Lex on his hands and knees saying "looking for something" with flowers in his hands, and with Clark being jealous of Lex's girlfriends and rescuing him and etc etc etc.

aliterati thinks that it's clear that Clark will get a puppy who will jump onto bed with them and Lex would absolutely hate it but wouldn't kick it out because Clark would be all "aaawwww" Heeeee.

Btw, buying first season of Smallville in a public store is rather embarassing, what with the big, tied-up, nekkid and painted Clark on the cover, like some sort of a gay icon Jesus. Hmmmm. It's a good thing I'm not shy.

Also, the show itself? Not too good. But who cares, it's amusing me a heck of a lot more than some better shows have.

Works for me! We could do delivery. And hey, at least according to the TWoP posters, Season 3's "Asylum" is the slashiest Smallville ep evah so we have good things to look forward to! :P

I keep wondering why he refers to being bald as such a big trauma though. Drama Queen much? A lot of people shave their head off as a fashion statement, so unless his head is shaped really oddly, I don't see why he's complaining...

Not forgetting the moment when Lex is pushed backwards, goes spinning into Clark's arms and they hold onto each other for just a moment too long before remembering that Boobs McChesty is standing there...

Oh yes. I was sort of considering mentioning that too, because at that point aliterati and I just looked and clutched at each other, what with the psychotic laughing. The sorta confused "I liked that" look on Clark's face at that point is also priceless.

Bwah! I think Al/Miles became aware of all the HoYay going on in the 1st season and tried to cut down on it after that by having fewer scenes between Lex & Clark. Happily, the HoYay shines through even through these difficult timess.
